SPEC: Sir John Suckling - HUGE trout warning?

Haven't seen his name mentioned before, so I'll take the risk... (slap me if this is ancient news).

Sir John Suckling (1609-1642) was a poet and a playwriter (http://www.luminarium.org/sevenlit/suckling/sjsbio.htm or http://www.cribbage.org/hof/member.asp?hof_id=1), and one of his works is named "Aglaura". One of the reference sites name the work "Aglause". Typing error or alternative spelling/name?

It is believed that in 1642, Sir John, destitute in Paris, committed suicide with poison.

--- ooo ---

References to Aglaura as a "invisible city" pops up now and then while googling. As does "Beersheeba", the liquor store in Aglaura.

More loose ends, I'm afraid. Can't seem to get something going on this. Any ideas?

Re: Sir John Suckling

I believe the references to Aglaura and Beersheba are from 'Invisible Cities' by Italo Calvino. Thread can be found at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=815

For what it's worth, came across a ppt slide show listing the city names from this book along with brief descriptions: http://www.holin.50g.com/writings/Invisible_Cities.ppt
