I'm curious if a degraded quality clip of the show might be the trick. Lisa Rein posts small Quicktime clips of The Daily Show segments all the time, and she's never been told to yank them, despite the show being on a network owned by a huge media company.

Effectively the BBC can't do much if this information is housed somewhere that our copyright laws can't be infringed...

...I could email and ask how about low-qual version being available for download but I don't think the BBC will be too happy should I keep hounding them unless it was for authorisation from the BBC and the people involved...

BBC

I think that there is nothing to be gained by contacting the BBC again. All they will say is no.

Uhm, wrt the lines on the map, didn't anyone else notice the wireframe version of the map on the front of the tourist guide? Isn't it just that?

And why make a wireframe version? Is it just for ease of building the city, or does it imply 3d walkaroundedness (Culture show's ARG segment, nottingham anyone?)

Believe it or not, the video hasn't quite yet been sorted out yet - but for that old fashioned "sitting around the wireless" feeling, you can grab the audio in MP3 format from my house. DO YOU SEE?

EDIT: Ah, sod it: it's at http://www.fneh.net/guy/.

Could well be- the Streatham area does look rather like the skyline we saw on the culture show...
