Seconded...
...Places to watch would be the original PPC site, the video site, the blog and the sentinel, whilst logged in here and IRC (don't you just love tabbed browsing?). And the snooker (going to miss Murder she wrote though). Can't see any obvious webcams at Greenwich...The PMs have been inclusive so far, no reason to change now (especially when "large audience" mentioned)

Physical meet up At least two of us (SebFlyte and I) are going to be in London, and free to frolic on Friday. Even if nothing happens in a physical location, it will be nice to meet up with anyone who happens to be around. Therefore can we make some sort of definitive meeting place for anyone who wants to (Greenwich Park is quite big, i think)? So far it seems that Greenwich station would seem reasonable, around 2pm.
Sorry if I've posted this incorrectly, I'm a complete n00b when it comes to fora.
And sorry if this is being discussed elsewhere: I've had a look around, but again, i'm not terribly experienced with this sort of thing - feel free to point me in the right direction as rudely as you like!

meh, we could do that, but I wouldn't say before friday, our only thoughts toward greenwich are based on being there at a specific time, and there is no other reason to go to greenwich, it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere, and tbh only vaguely here...

Just curious Jeb, only because i like to try to get into other peoples psyche (!!), but why are you and others planning on going to Greenwich when you freely admit that there hasn't even been the remotest hint from PPC that there will be any meet-up occuring there? The only place that it has been mentioned is in (quite frankly) pretty tenuous spec on this forum (sorry dopefiend et al - just my honest opinion).
Just seems a little odd thats all - but hey don't let me ruin your plans

Well, me and my friends here were planning on going for a day trip to london anyway, so doing it on friday seems to make sense given the speccing (I still think there might be something there). And anyway, wouldn't you be sick if there was something there in the end and noone went?

yep thats true; however i could say at the same time what if there is no 'meet-up' in greenwich, so you guys all turn up there at 3pm while the rest of us are all sat at home / work watching the actual comm on our PCs - you'd be missing out man!
I guess i'm just saying that there seems to have been alot of arranging of this trip when still there has been no official word from Sente as to any location. Surely if a meeting in G/wich is what is intended, then it will be announced somewhere over the next couple of days, in which case then I may even decide to come along too. Until that time tho, i'm staying put (which i'm sure will please my boss no end)

I'm sure there's internet cafes in greenwich
To be honest I was planning on giving someone here my mobile number to keep me informed heh

PS - keep an eye out today, I think scarlett might be dying later on (spec, but not without seriousness)

Internet Access Can we not have some form of internet enabled laptop? We're a clever lot; surely internet access won't be a major issue?
PS Why do you think Scarlett will die?

Well, I'm running off a beasty desktop with 19" monitor (not a good idea for uni... damn.) so don't look at me like that...
Seriously, stop it.

I wouldn't go in if I wasn't planning on going in anyway either Friday or Saturday, and it's worth having someone there just in case. That's it summed up in a sentence I guess... I know I'm missing out on what's likely to be happening elsewhere, but it should be a nice day out... Might even take a picnic...
/me checks weather forecasts...

My bet is on it being a web kind of a thing. But living in London I can always rush out if needs be...

This is probably a major stretch but if we are supposed to meet in a an actual location based on the info we have so far then there is The Caird Library at the Greenwich Observatory. It does seem a little unlikely though due to the number of restrictions there are on admission.
