XBOX 360 prototypes released...

have a look at these pics joined together they all look so similar...
http://photobucket.com/albums/y170/subarurulz/th_xbox360.bmp

the left one looks real the bottom one looks like there first computer generated image...

and the last on if you turn on its side is the side of the first pic. But its a little different so maybe one of them is a prototype...

OK, I'll bite.

I'll call these Pics "Reward" (we got this as a reward a few days ago), "40 GB" (the one with the 40 GB plaque) and "Render" (the front view is clearly a computer render)

This is my analysis:

------------------------------------------------

FACT: The front left corner of the object in the Reward pic is convex (curved to the outside), and the plaque is blank

FACT: The same spot in the 40 GB pic is concave (curved to the inside), and the plaque reads 40 GB

SPEC: The Reward pic is the Xbox with no hard drive, and only a plastic cover for aesthetic purposes. The 40 GB pic is an Xbox with the optional 40 GB drive installed. There appears to be a release button, suggesting the hard drive will be a plug and play, removable unit.

---------------------------------------------------

FACT: The 40 GB pic shows the DVD tray, an eject button, a memory slot and an IR port.

FACT: The Render pic shows these same elements, plus a second memory slot, a power button and a notch I don't recognize.

SPEC: The Render pic is not real... it is a fake render based on the 40 GB pic... the real thing will probably have a similar outside perimeter (easy to deduct if one assumes simmetry), but the "face" can hold a surprise or two.

------------------------------------------------------

SPEC: The IR port is not for the controllers but for the remote control. No more DVD kit!

The small round button next to the memory card ports? Almost looks like like the standard hard drive logo but on its side.

Now, it probably is wireless controllers..

so that little button next to the memory card ports.. wouldn't it be some sort of configuration thing to set up the controllers?

Example; I have a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse on my PC that both use the same rf receiver plugged into the back of it. When I set it up from new I had to press the button on the rf receiver, then a button underneath the keyboard, then press the same button on the rf receiver again, then a button underneath the mouse.

If we're expected to play 4 player games on this new Xbox console youd need a way of setting up the joypads in order.

Just thinking out loud again.

The white one on the right side of the memory slots would be part of the render... artist interpretation.
