Beidah, you still have to remember it brought to mind the question of WHY did Alex attack Jay? Why did Jay forget this? What happened after the attack? Etc, etc etc.

The question of why Alex attacked Jay isn't new. Why did he attack Tim and Brian? The memory thing has been recurring as well. As for what happen after the attack, that's pretty easy to fill in for.

No it isn't. Jay has to somehow get out of wherever Alex left him, with the tapes & his car, & back to his home, in such a way that he not only doesn't remember the attack, but doesn't even notice anything odd.

Very simple things would give away that there is something wrong with his memory. That it took him several more hours than usual to get home. A massive headache. Grass stains on his sweatshirt. Bruises.

If you don't think that this entry has raised a lot of questions, then you just aren't asking yourself the right ones.

This is not the first time Jay has had problems with his memory. It's probably a side-effect of being around the Operator, hence Alex filming himself near constantly.

I agree with ristar completely. I love Marble Hornets and they are doing a great job with it, however, I do feel after two and a half seasons I know close to the same amount of facts as the first entry. I feel like this with all the Slenderman youtube series (EMH, Tribetwelve, dark harvest) but Marble Hornets seems to be the worst with this. We do get some answers such as Jessica is involved somehow, Masky is Tim, why the hole caused a disturbance on the video, but for the most part we walk away with more questions than anything. I wonder if it has anything to do with these types of forums and comment pages, though. There have been a few times where an entry comes out that to me gives a definite answer (such as the tta video that hoody climbs through Tim's window and takes his pills seemed to be the creators way of showing us that hoody is tta) but all of us fans start discussing every potential possibilty that we are left wondering again. I also wonder if the creators of Marble Hornets read these forums as much as we do and start changing their direction of the series based off things we say and that's why it starts feeling muddled. It could perhaps be to feel more immersive. If the story got to straight forward then it wouldn't feel like real life. IDK. . .

Had to comment here, it's never very wise to blame plot holes or plot issues in general on the fans who notice them. That is a writing error, possibly an editting, acting, or directing error, but it is not a fan error unless the fan is incorrect in the understanding of the facts. As far as MH, it can't even be assumed to be ANY error; it's a mysterious series and we are confused. I think we're supposed to be confused. If they gave away a big giant plot point the series would end, because that's why we watch the series.... To unravel the mysteries within.

I actually think it's awesome that any theory put forward is just as difficult to argue as any other. If we were supposed to have "solved" something, I frankly think at least one of the regulars on this board is the right combination of intelligent and obsessed that they would've posted the answer, with proof. I think that because of the genre or mood MH is going for, they are keeping us after that carrot on a stick perfectly.

And it's unfair to say there haven't been big reveals. None of us would follow this if they hadn't slowly but surely been letting slip big and interesting tidbits of plot. They're just working from the 1st person filmed footage point of view, so if they release a big dumb video which explains things too easily or obviously then we'd all be WAY more pissed and disappointed than we are just not knowing.

EDIT: Also, for what it's worth, I do think that the actual amswers have been posted somewhere on this board, in whole or in part... But we have not been provided with sufficient evidence to prove to our peers BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT that the answer is apparent. I think this is intentional on the part of MH's creators.

That strikes me as an incredibly one-sided criticism. If their pacing was perfect, no one would be complaining about it. The fact that people are starting to get frustrated is itself a sign that there haven't been enough reveals. It's not as though everyone is just going to suddenly drop the series in a day if it starts getting slow. Most people, after sitting through 60-70 odd installments, are going to keep going at least a little longer with the hope that their time investment pays off.

Also, I have no idea why people keep making this false dichotomy that they can either answer hardly anything, or answer everything in one video. Believe it or not, there IS a middle ground between those 2 extremes.

It's certainly not the case that there is NEVER a major reveal, but the last one was either at the end of Season 2 or the start of Season 3. Everything since has all either been an expansion on what we already knew--Tim has had problems for years, well guess what, we know that The Operator has been active for years from Alex's birthday video--or an answer to a question that, while significant, is not immediately pressing--like the Slenderhole.

I don't really feel that way with EverymanHYBRID. It's confusing, but not in an "I didn't learn anything" kind of way. We got:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
>Evan is inHABITed. Most of us saw it coming, but there was a reasonable doubt in the beginning.
>Evan is most likely HABIT's perfect shell, with virtually all other candidates being eliminated at some point or another.
>It is possible to travel outside-of-time.
>What is behind the door at The Property--Baldpate seems to be connected to every other location in the series.
>The Nicholas that HABIT posted about was the boys' friend, Nick.
>HABIT is a possessing spirit, not really confirmed until 9/5/11.
>Evan can't die.
>Slenderman & HABIT work together. Early theories had them as adversaries.
>Corenthal's sanctuary & its nebulous consequences.

EMH just introduces new mysteries as it solves old ones, & has a few long-standing ones.
