I have some meta information that because of privacy reasons I'm loathe to share. While the letter has no return address it was sent registered so I know it came from North York Ontario Canada. There is a hand written address ( that is tough to make out) on the registered receipt, and it points to a street, but seeing as 1) I don't want to out the PMs address and 2) the info was derived not from the letter but from the metadata from the post office, I don't want to post it publically.

I reached out to a lock-picking forum and gave them a pic of the key. Got a bunch of replies but none of them have ever seen a key exactly like that, and these guys really know their stuff. so whatever it is, it's unique.

I have seen smaller versions of that key, for a window lock called a Cotswold, it would open it from the inside, but that would make the tag an apartment address?


So we have the seal for Yale and the Seal for Oxford...lets contrast them.

Motto: Oxford- The Lord is my Light
Yale- Light and truth

Oxford: The 3 crowns origins are unknown, could link to various people being given them by various kings of England.

Yale- Unknown designer, book says Urim and Thummin but no one knows what this means and most just say it means Light and Truth which is now the official English motto.

I am going to be honest, its odd to see a university like seal on a form for a government department. I mean why would the phrase "Light and Truth" have meaning for an Agricultural Sciences department unless they function like the police in this universe?

I would note the Hebrew in the book is pretty damaged and it seems like it is different to the Hebrew on the Yale seal, most obviously because the lines are the same length when the top is longer on the Yale seal.

Now is the number 2270 14 or 2270.14 in which case could it be a library dewy decimal number?

I dunno, Ameliå, looking at the Yale seal book and this one, with some blurring (or ink running, or a bad photocopy) I think it could be a match.



But on your other point, I agree. There is precious little to go on here. The next logical step is to find the website mentioned and get cracking on that "security" (something we're good at!), but I don't see any obvious way to move forward.

Also, I checked with the sweet old men at the local hardware store, and they've never seen anything like that key, either.

Ah okays! i had not seen that version of the logo before, just this one below - which does not match

also just throwing it out there, yale is a brand of key :p infact my door key is a yale - and there is a oxford lock apparently.

The book with hebrew writing seems to be a somewhat common theme in university coat of arms. Three crowns is less common. This could be the actual coat of arms for some universtiy somewhere. And the Department mentioned in the insignia could be a department at that university. Many universities have Departments of Agricultural Science. Just a theory. Could be a completely ficticious coat of arms but I'm getting red herring vibes from the letterhead. I know we don't have anything really to go on other than that. I just hope something else turns up because my curiosity is piqued.
