Ninjabunny strikes again!

*coughs*

New tweet from @Avecira:
Quote:
The annual "good worker" recreation trip is coming this weekend. Most of our staff will be out of office.

Perhaps someone should mention this to Beth? Could be a good time to raid the files of the people who aren't there...

I don't know if anyone has done it yet, but I've messaged Beth through her twitter about the trip, and am waiting for a reply, don't know if i'll get one, but at least she knows.

I too contacted Beth about this weekend.
Beth wrote:
Thanks for reminding me about the trip. Btw, how did you guess I'm not on the trip? Anyway, you are right. Apparently I'm not "productive enough" to be invited to the trip. That's a good idea to try to get some info during the trip.

BR,
Beth

And in reply to some questions about the 'messages' & the new office policy Richard wrote:

I'm aware these messages sure sound weird. Also, I'm a bit afraid what they could reveal. You know… it's not nice to know someone is spreading messages of your doings. Therefore, I'm really glad I found a person like you!

So far the messages I have received have been really accurate. I have no idea how they can know all that so accurately. The 'Precious' was a name we gave to the device that is been developed under the project Toilworn Diamond.

I decided to launch the "Divine and conquer" policy in order to not let too many people know the big picture of all this. For example, if I find out that some message contains multiple parts, I try to divide the parts to different people. Also, we are leaving to a little "good worker" trip tomorrow. I decided to give something extra to all the loyal employees and punish the not-so-good workers by leaving them out. Maybe this way they are not so willing to gossip about company secrets at the coffee room when there is a little friction among them. What do you think about this method?

Snippets from my last exchange with Richard:
Quote:
I can only assume that you are the 'Richard' mentioned here, and since the project continues, that you have somehow managed to collect the required data? Cheers! It's always a shame to lose a project because the technology hasn't caught up to what you're trying to do. Good on you for overcoming this setback!

Quote:
Yes, you are right. I am the Richard that is mentioned in the message. We sure had some difficult times back then. Fortunately the world has changed since then and the data collection isn't such an issue anymore. It is hard to be so much ahead of your time that pretty much no-one understands you! I don't know if you have ever experienced that, but it seems to be the story of my life.

It's like two halves of a code phrase from an old spy movie.

Amandel, what did you use to pull those words out the key?

The text is really, really faint. Try adjusting the contrast on that section and it will appear.

Speaking of which, I got this email this morning from Richie Rich:

Quote:
Your talent is once again needed! We found the following list of words, but have no idea of their meaning. What about you? Any ideas?

jussory thereva loveman subinfeudation carminophilous hemiscotosis achievement clavation lamestery noninsertion Abac Quadrigeminous Submanager

Best Regards,
Richard

which is just the second half of what Beth posted. I may be wrong, but I don't think any of them are real words. I'm gonna try some anagrams.

Edit: Well, I was wrong, at least partially, especially considering "achievement" is obviously a word Laughing . I couldn't find anything for jussory itself, but a jussor is basically someone who owes a debt. Thereva is a genus of flies (stiletto flies), subinfeudation is a process by which people who owned land under kings could alienate a part of the land, carminophilous *might* mean an affinity for iron, hemiscotosis is blindness in half of the visual field (i think), achievement is, well, obvious, clavation is the condition of being clavate (having one thickened end), lamestery is something that I can't find a damn thing for, besides a lamester being someone who takes pride in the fact that their interests are considered uncool or lame, i'm assuming noninsertion is either the act of actively not inserting something or the removal of something, Abac is an acronym of a few different things but I think it may be referring to Attribute Based Access Control given the computer theme thus far, Quadrigeminous (I'm assuming) means pertaining to the quadrigeminal plate (apparently the "junction of grey and white matter in an embryo"), and a submanager is a subordinate manager to another manager.

Now. WHAT THE HELL DOES ALL OF THAT MEAN

I think it's either some kind of synonym/ acronym thing or what happens when you let autotext have free rein.

The last three words are capitalized, some kind of signature maybe.

I got sent another part of the message:
Quote:
Hi Mehetabel,

Nonagon monographic sowbacked aglet reactionaryism whyness counternoise drearisome sextans

Going to telephone keypad, I get:
6662466 66664727442 769222533 24538 73228466279476 9496377 268683766473 3732747663 7398267

Unfortunately, I can't make that into anything but gibberish, coming back out.

Maybe the answer is within the meaning of the "words" and they all might combine to make a complete message. I'm in the process of defining all the "words" to see if there is any kind of coherent message that i can make out of simplifying the resulting meanings in my own words out of it.

Hi guys,

This thread piqued my interest a little, after having not played anything in ages! Anyway I followed Beth on twitter and after a bit of DM chat she just sent me this message:

Quote:

Hi Jehane, how are you? Does this mean anything to you? N60 11.336 E24 49.406

Anyone else get this?

yup and its co ordinates to Konemiehentie 4
02150 Espoo, Finland ‎ 32 m SE

i believe

also when you go there on the map, right where the arrow for the co ords are is this http://goo.gl/maps/FWTXU

which is a sign post

edit: she replied saying "Wow, thanks! There's also more to that... Can I email it to you? I don't want to put it to the blog just yet."

so waiting for that now Smile

EDIT 2: the email she sent is below:

Quote:
Hi Amy,

I am still shaking with excitement, because of an email I just received! I was already copy-pasteing it to my blog, but then I realized that there is a slight chance that someone not-so-wanted person could be reading it. As it seems to be really important that whatever it is that Pasi hid, it should not be destroyed. Therefore, I thought that I contact my trusted people before publishing anything about it, so Avecira has no chance to find it first.

Apparently it is a location in Finland and we should find whatever is hidden in there. You don't happen to be anywhere near, do you? Or do you know anyone we could trust who could go and search for it?

Yours,
Beth

And here is the email I received:

-------------------------------------
Hi Beth!

I was extremely happy when I found your blog and that some righteous people are finally solving this mystery! If I could jump, I would be jumping with joy right now! You see, you are doing something I tried to do years ago. I had already lost hope and accepted the fact that the world will end up with the horrible LOLCat Apocalypse. Finally there is still a glimpse of light!

Luckily I made a backup plan for situations like this. Unfortunately I can't offer much assistance, but I will go through my personal notes and try to find the places where I hid my messages. Don't let anyone destroy them, so once you find the messages, spread the word as wide as you can! The world needs to be warned about this.

I found one note that says like this:
"In the middle of the trees. Just in case, tied with a string. N60 11.336 E24 49.406"

Yours Sincerely,
Pasi Liisola
