So what's going on with this series, then? Is it finished?

I discovered this at least a year ago, very early on in the series. Was fun to follow discussion here on unfiction. It's been quite a while since the last Dad's Tape video was posted, let alone anything from DNC.

Ugh, I know you guys are going to hate me for necroing this thread but I'm having a lot of MDT-related feelings right now for some reason. I swear this is the first and last time I've necroed anything.

I hope the game isn't over. We've gotten nothing official from the PM, and we've had gaps before (though none this long)

But if it is, I wanted to say thank you, and ask if we can get any sort of PM chat. I know the PMs are very very secretive in this series but if it's over then I think a PM chat would be nice.

Anway, if it is over:
Thank you. It was an awesome ride, the story was great and very nicely plotted. The actors were fantastic, the makeup was lovely. You managed to make something really interesting. And I know I've always been the sort of MDT cheerleader/fangirl but this series really does mean a lot to me. I met some really wonderful people during it who are still helping me deal with stuff even though the game's over. It showed me that games can be streamlined while still having some ARG elements, and it helped me decide what format to start my own series in. Yes, that series failed as well, but now I have an inkling of what I want to do for my carrer: filmmaking. Storytelling. I've learned more about serial killers than I did before, I've learned some things about characteriztion and diaogue from watching the characters interact in the series. I learned a hell of a lot about puzzles and codes. But mostly the storytellling. This was a really well plotted, tight and tense story.

You've made an amazing story that has inspired at least one person and I hope you can either work through the issues with MDT (though I learned the hard way that sometimes it just can't be fixed and it's just... over) or else I'll keep a lookout for anything you might be doing in the future.

Though a confirmation one way or another as to the status of this game would be nice. I mean I'm sure it's over but my brain still wants to hope and confirmation would help with that.

Either way, great game all around. Thank you and I hope we can get some sort of PM chat to pick your brains a bit. <3

How to describe this? A white buffalo in a snow ball lighted?
I do not see any clues, such as those of previous entries. No description, no code hidden in the frames, no audio and therefore no spectrum.

Really not dead? This video is a way of saying we are not finished? or just a little joke?

The audio is "at the tone, Standard Time will be 3:05 [pronounced as "three-five"] exactly. [tone]" and a pause and "at the tone, Standard Time will be 3:05 [again, "three-five"] and ten seconds" but then it cuts off before the tone is heard again.

So the DNC logos are three, five, and ten. So something about 3/5/10? There wasn't a video posted then, the tapes only started being uploaded in 2011... Gerald died on NYE in... 2010? Maybe we should check other videos uploaded on March 5th?

I'm going to mess around with the video some. Have a feeling that the timestamp when the picture changes might be important, who knows? Seems like this clue might be related a lot to numbers/times.

Also, I suppose the IRC is dead now? Waiting for Waitress to set it up again? [mibbit won't let me do it since it's not on the mibbit server]

EDIT: no idea on the bison. Anyone done a spectrum? The video is obv reversed since the glitter in the snowglobe is going up and that only happens after you shake it...

EDIT 2: Checking out other videos- March 6th was when the titleless video that Kathleen died in was posted- assuming he uploaded it the next day (I think he did? We were all worried about him, yea? And the got the invite on the 4th of March so YES it could be March 5th!) that wold have been March 5th, 2012.

Maybe I'm looking too far into things.
Maybe there's a matchbook somewhere in the meeting video... let me check .

I tried downloading the video to work with it, but the audio sounds distorted! I've downloaded using two different applications in various formats and qualities and sounds weird. I do not understand anything.

About the audio, before the voice, we can hear the dialing pulses of a number. Seven digits. I do not know if it really corresponds to a telephone time service or not.

Okay so Stroma and I are in the chat (Chat solutions, #mdt) talking about the white buffalo/bison. There's a lot of Native American symbolism around this animal and MY initial thought was maybe ti's saying something about Kath being a sacrifice but IMO, 1. we've already had that point made VERY clear to us so 's a bit redundant and 2. Kath's time in the story is over- unless we're looping back around cos of the matchboxes but... meh. (also where the hell is Lilith? Is she okay? D: Maybe Emily escaped sometime in March?)

So far DNC has used a lot of various culture's symbols but I haven't really seen anything NA at all. Could be a first time for everything but.. I dunno. Who is this directed to? White bison/buffalo tend to symbolize a few things: sacred life, spiritual strength/prayer... there's an interesting story here:

I think I might be confusing him because I'm actually in a good mood (YAY new anti-anxiety meds!) and I'm not really freaked out by him right now. I think it's actually (well all things considered) a rather pleasant conversation.

He asked me to kill Chris thou. Which I suppose isn't that new. But asking me directly is.

Double Post...but symbolism dump!

Snow globes
- Okay, I have to say, Bison in a snow globe seems a bit odd...I mean can bison even live in snowy conditions?

-Originally started out as an attempt to make an ultra bright focused light for surgery (ironic considering it spends most of this video in the dark)

-Citizen Kane- Symbolizing the nostalgia of the past, yearning for the stability of childhood. Held in Kane's hand as he dies, inability to bring back the past. Maybe a symbol of Chris' life before all this?

- In dreams- comfort due to being isolated from an issue, procrastinating too much (DNC in a nutshell), but a good omen for new experiences and adventures.

I had the old theory that DNC was rotating position...maybe this symbolism change means a new person is in charge.

Just an fyi DNC has tweeted to stonedaffection on twitter this month which is slightly odd.

Still cant think of where to go with this really...but thank heavens I have so much free time right now!

One weird thing is how the globe gets more active despite the lack of an external force...It would make more sense that this video was backwards so the end is just after he shook it and we watch it slowly going back to static....Also is it me or in the still frame does it seem to lack glitter, you would expect a visible pile at the bottom?



Also is the globe broken on the bush on the lower left corner, its odd that it is white and not painted like the rest of it
