 		Santa Clara SyQuest Drop (continued)
So after obtaining the SyQuest drive to read the cartridge I retrieved in Santa Clara we found no useful data on it. That was because the data we needed was not on it but IN it!



As you can see on the top half in the picture there is actually a MicroSD card taped inside the shell of the cartridge. What was surprising was that the card did not affect the operation of the cartridge.

Once I read the card it contained no file structure but did have 470MB of data consisting of social security numbers and names:

 		ABISM details known so far on one place



Looks like MD and MoD are not using same ABISM modem.
MD calls his one "old mainframe", and we alreday tried to help him fix it once
MoD ABISM talks via radio, his ABISM is the "vectortone" one, prone to interference MoD is saying that he has some interference and that his ABISM works on radio connection. While MDs ABISM seemed to be wired to MAIN OTP DATABASE. ABISM tones that we sometimes found on Agent system seems to be same as MDs ABISM modem.

AS36 is the regular "material order desk" system where he checks/inputs stuff for orders, and AS27 is the "drop coordination" system where "people" (mostly MOD apparently) input drops to be completed, they are listed by "slot" (for example pennsylvania drop was put into slot 1)

Agent system abism is decrypted using reversed bytes and ASCII. MoD ABISM is using bracos package drop tables for decoding.

Difference between MD and MoD ABISM can be observed on spectogram, order of bits in 7bit byte is reversed:

17001:
before version ABISM 1.1:
Letters- substract 32 and convert to ascii
Numbers- there were none

after version ABISM 1.1:
Letters-reverse byte and change to ascii
Numbers-reverse and substract 32 or rev chop-6


17004 range (epoch):
Letters- revese bits and convert to ascii
Numbers- reverse and chop 4 (or with different words) reverse byte and subtract 32 then convert to ascii





DECODING OF MoD ABISM:

Letters- use bracos mapping tables for russian cyrilic (or with different words) substract 64 and convert to ASCI

Getting Close.
I'm majoring in music here in school, so seeing as how I couldn't quite pin it down this morning I will be asking my professors, It sounds shockingly similar to the Edison Concert Bands ensemble, But I wouldn't be surprised if It was slightly after the phonograph.

The quality and recording value is too high almost to have been recorded on a cylinder, I suspect slightly newer orchestration.

It has a similar feel to "Forward Unto Victory" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3d0sgnOoAY

Also a neat fact, all of the cylinders used back then had a number, such as like the Blue Amberol cylinder (#1514), The phonographs had model types (usual letters) and Obviously dates.

Feeling pretty confident I can sort this out.

After alot of census and google searching, nobody with those names lived any time after 1950. They date back to about 1875 though

Also Sneaking Suspicion one of those people is someone who is part of the recording thus matching up numbers.

The recording is called Grover Cleveland March by Gilmore's Band (1892),
recorded in 1882 here's raw audio http://archive.org/details/GroverClevelandMarchByGilmoresBand1892

I heard Grover Cleveland in the beginning and went on a wild tangent about him loosing his second election in 1888 this however was not the case.

Recorded on a Brown Cylinder model Stream cylinder 8100,although the cylinder is in a private collection and the catalouge number is only held in united states phonograph company.
