I just want to find out what happens to Rani. I'm hoping they do another commando raid (in their Special Forces uniforms?) to free her. Although I'm willing to bet that Herzog pulls some strings and gets the charges dropped.

I don't think this is over either. It is an ending but not a good ending, it leaves to many plots unresolved. It just seems like another Cliffhanger that we've received everyweek. How could it end without us know what happens to Rani, Melissa, Sophia and Herzog? I am gonna sound like a woman now but there is now closure.

i'm sticking around for a while. as we listened to things unwrap on Sunday, my friends and I were hoping the last clip was actually some kind of movie file that showed how things were resolved. alas, that did not happen.

BUT, since the web page flat out says something else will happen 11/4, i'll be here. (also, i'm hoping to gather any info i can before i get in the car Thursday afternoon and drive to NYC.)

Maybe 11/4 will tell us how the invasion starts or something fun involving Master Chief & Cortana....?

I think the final transmission on 11/4 will essentially give us the final details on what became of Melissa+, whether Durga realises that is her name, how much of the AI we knew in the present still exists within her in the future. I don't know if we'll get anything so explicit; maybe some small sign, some part of Melissa+ we recognise to show that after all our work, our girl is OK.

I also think we'll get either resolution or a hint of resolution to the Kamal/Sophie thing, maybe a bit more Herzog stuff, maybe something on the Covenant. Maybe we'll see Durga get taken away by the Navy, maybe Kamal and Jersey will have to learn to carry on without her around. Who knows? But it's fun to guess.

I don't think that much, if anything, will be completely explicit, but I'm certain we'll get some signs that things have been resolved for our characters. What I doubt is any kind of explicit linking into Halo 2, and I certainly don't think we'll hear the MC or Cortana in these wavs at all.

That's my chips on the table.

11/4 = herzog thread wrapup - Rani news, Flea farewell, Artifact results, possible Covenent cameo.

My spec and I'm stickin by it!

All the other threads were obviously wrapped up sunday - it was one long thread with everyone ending with classic story-ending lines...

I was kind of upset at the fact that it seemed like Jersey, Jan, Kamal, and Durga all just left Rani. I know they said they couldn't do anything about it, but the way they just dismissed it in the last wav file seemed a bit cold - as if they didn't really care at all. I won't be surprised if I see Rani come back as an antagonist to our famed "Team Jersey" (or maybe as an antagonist in Halo 2 ). I also see her being influenced by Standish or just getting the induced coma treatment.

As for now, it seems that they will only focus on Kamal getting Sophia back, and Jersey reuniting with his dad (maybe), and Jan...going back with her crazy mom. We all expect for Durga to be completed with the return of Melissa as well. I love, however, that the writers set up this dramatic irony - letting Jan, Jersey, Kamal, and Durga all think that they all saved the world from an attack when we all know Master Chief is the actual hero of the story.

I really admire the way this whole story presented itself and I like this story better than a lot of sci-fi movies I've seen. Two thumbs up, guys.

Oh, and to the PMs - I'm waiting for a disc set with all the written stuff, internet photos, and wav files.

I think we might get one wav for each character on Thursday. Just something to completely wrap the story up.
Rani gets freed because of information (supplied by Durga) that Standish was the brains behind the Chawla Base incursion and he blackmailed Rani into following along.
Herzog relaxes with a drink for a job well done, to find an eager young detective thrilled with her part in saving the world, looking for more work along the same lines.
Kamal meets up with Sophia (with the help of Durga) and becomes a medic. Has a new outlook on life since hearing from his sister.
Jan decides not to join the military, at least until her wounds are healed. Finds a new man in her life that she never thought was the hero-type.
And finally Jersey and Durga part ways. The effects of being separated make her believe that she is too dangerous to continue being around Jersey. She leaves to go back to the military, but not before restoring Jersey's personal assistant, with a new updated personality.
That's just the way I'd like to see it. But on another note, where the hell is the Flea going to go? If he's still on Dana's computer/server, then he obviously missed his chance to go back to his own time (if that was his own time). Maybe Dana has a new friend?
