Here's the newsletter.... It was delivered in a plain white letter envelope, and had no return address.
It was postmarked for October 28th, Milwaukee, IL.
I scanned both sides of the newsletter.
Fixed files are in the post below.

Just as a note. Mrs. Charlene Mason (Charley Manson) was a mass murder and leader of a cult. This must be a hint to the group we are dealing with.

You never know...

Sir or madam,
I am researching prices and options for a printing project I will be completing in the next few months.
Could you please send me a list of your basic logo-design rates and prices for printing 8 1/2"x11" foldable brochures?
Thank you,

The city was founded in 1871. I am not aware of any 'battles' to have taken place near here. I'm afraid for any information about the city during any of the wars that this country survived, you'd really have to look through our archives. In regards to headlines, we do not store news clippings in general. We specialize in rare books, journals, and town records.

Bookstore reply:
"Hi,
Thanks for your comment about our new release section. We don't always get
to updating it as regularly as we should, but we do get a good response from
our customers about it.
As for our 'graphic novels', they are japanese comics. I don't know a lot
about them, we just started carrying them. I know we carry a few different
ones, there's a set called "Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind" which seems
popular. We also have some of a series called "Astro Boy" that, from what
I've been told, are classics. Sorry I can't tell you more. The guy who
really pushed us to start carrying them quit a few months back, and most of
us are just learning as we carry more of them.

"Dear Sir or Madame,
No, we do not have any plans to make any of our information available
online. We do not have the resources to accomplish that at present. I am
sorry I could not be of more help. If you should be in our area at some
point in the future, I hope you will be able to visit us in person. And if
we should ever undertake that project, I will let you know.

Mortid Psych Care Just received a response to my email to the Ardmur Historical Society. I had misread a street on the map as Morbid Place. Genevieve set me straight (see below). And there's a Psych facility in town! Interesting
I'm starting to feel Lovecraftian overtones here. I've replied to Genevieve, asking if she might know of an email address or website I might access in regards to the MPC facility.
The full text of my email follows Genevieve's response.
Mr. Barnica,
Well I hope someone hasn't given you an incorrect map, but no there is no
Morbid Place. There is however a Mortid Place, which is, I presume, what you
are referring too. I agree it would be most unusual to have a Morbid Place
in our town, though I imagine the real estate prices on such a street would
be extremely reasonable. Mortid Place, however, is the street on which Mortid Psychological Care is located. To the best of my knowledge Mortid Place was named for that facility. I am not sure how it acquired it's name, you might try to contact them for that information.
In regards to your other question, no this is not a common occurence. I do
not recall a similar event in the past. It is a sad and unfortunate situation, but then at times this is a sad world in which we exist.
I hope that answers your questions. Thank you for your inquiry.

.
Good morning! (almost afternoon I guess)
I was just looking over a map of Tranquil Valley, planning an upcoming visit, and I noticed what seemed to me an unusual street name. Do you really have a street named Morbid Place? I'm asking you at the historical society, because I figured if there is such a street, you might know how it came to be named so strangely.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Mr. R. I. Barnica
PS: I've seen the stories about the unpleasant animal mutilations in your town. How unsettling this must have been for you all. Has this sort of thing happened in the past?
