Why do electrons spin around an atom in orbitals?

I don't know, why do they?

Also, prove to me atoms exist. Prove to me anything exists. Then prove whatever disproves the nonexistence of the former doesn't exist.

Ok before answering that question, are you a Christian, or something else along those lines, and if yes, do you believe the world was made in 4004 BCE?

I don't believe in science, so all of your arguments are irrelevant to me.

You can go on and on about trying to prove how blood cells work or how many molecules there are in a glass of beer, but I know it's all just lies-- nobody can truly know that kind of thing. It's all trial and error.

Like, fuckin' magnets-- how do they work?

Magnets work by lining up the magnetic force that is found in some materials, such as iron. By lining these up it forms a north and south pole. An interesting fact you probably don't know is that the north pole, is actually the magnetic south pole, as north and south attract. You can make a magnet out of a non magnetic piece of iron if you have a magnet, you rub the magnet along the other piece of iron and it lines up the charges of magnetism, after a long time the magnets will be the same strength, but after a short time you will just have a weak magnet like an induced magnet when you pick something up with a magnet.

That's some brief information on how magnets work, for more info go to

As someone who just finished a course on electromagnetism and has delved into the horrible deluge of questions surrounding physics in general, I can now continue your dissatisfaction. With each step further down to that which is fundamental in the universe you will see that we still know so little.

If I were to give a furtherly regressive answer from the simple response of 'electromagnetic waves' causing the interaction (Which, by the way, do not exist in the sense of physics, and only exist as they are metaphysical concepts. These 'waves' are purely conceptual constructs to help describe the occurring forces and their directions. The misunderstanding that these 'waves' are actual tangible things that exist in the universe is so widespread it's obscene.) I could tell you about the 'virtual photons' which are made necessary as force carriers in the mathematical exchange describing the force. But even this is not anywhere near completely understood, and physicists have absolutely no idea of the nature of virtual photon emission or existence around charged particles and have no idea of WHY the physical interaction of the virtual photon causes the utterly bizarre and almost nonsensical directions of the Lorentz Force.

And further you can regress and get into the most intense current theories of fundamental nature such as Quantum Loop Gravity or String Theory, but even in these fields of study and discussion much of it exists in speculation and mathematical proofing via equations rather than true fundamental comprehension.

Finally, there is the ultimate regression of why in this circumstance of which you will be brought into the realm of philosophy, and I'm sure you're already aware of some of the answers which lie there.

Just the other day I had a discussion with another student who also referenced ICP with the ultimate declaration of 'miracles' as the answer to how all of it works out of his confusion, and, though that song and statement are viewed mockingly by the populous, I must say that at its core its message is actually pretty meaningful, and, with my personal beliefs, in the ultimate sense of things I do agree with this conclusion.

Also, Hazman, if you don't follow what Serum is getting at I suggest you google Philosophical Skepticism.

Well, fuck. My wife cancelled my Heron-mark sword. That pisses me off. But she bought me an AC for my man cave so Huzzah! I'll have to get the sword to add to the others for decoration at a later date!!

I didn't like Spiderman 3 all that much, but I did love Memento. I thought it was a pretty interesting look at a film and a great way to portray the story from the perspective of a man who can't create new memories. The scenes where you start to see why he has things the way he does and came to the conclusions he did are pretty amazing. Also what was left to interpretation about him and Sammy was pretty brutal if you think about the possibilities.

But Spiderman 3 was too "meh" for my tastes I just coudn't raise the effort to care about it at that point.

I'm sorry, all I hear after someone says they liked Memento is "BLAH BLAH I LOVE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN WITH A BLIND PASSION BECAUSE HEATH LEDGER WAS AMAZING IN THE DARK KNIGHT BLAH BLAH BLAH..."

Well, that sounds unfair. Memento had a bunch of fans long before the Dark Knight was even filmed. For many, it was the reason they started respecting Nolan in the first place. (I never liked it myself all that much. For me, Memento is a puzzle difficult enough so that I can't solve it effortlessly, and I don't like putting effort into comprehending movies. But at least it's no Primer. That puzzle I probably wouldn't be able to solve even if I did put effort into it.)

The Prestige, you mean the magician movie that was out that year that didn't have Edward Norton, just like how Deep Impact was the overshadowed asteroid movie that was out the same year as Armageddon, or how the far superior Red Planet was overshadowed by the mediocre Mission to Mars.

I thought Hugh Jackman in the Prestige was GREAT. I didn't even know that was a Nolan film. The illusionist was better than average and I did keep getting them confused when I'd see them in the guide on HBO. Paul Giamatti actually made that film for me.
