Yeah, it was probably just more stairs leading outside the house. After Jay goes through the door, there's a split-second of video where it's just dark, no grass.

Also you can still hear their footsteps during that period, which you wouldn't normally hear if you were running on grass.

You can see/ hear them run over what looks like a simple brick patio towards the end of the video, that would explain the footsteps.

I don't really think Tim was either fighting TO, or bargaining with him. He approached TO with the exact same stumbling gait as Alex did in Entry 43. It seems to me that it's more likely they were being either controlled, or drawn towards TO against their will. He may or may not have resisted going full-masky, but I certainly don't feel as though it was pure defiance.

I would agree with you if Tim didn't pull out a switchblade while walking up to him. That seems a lot more like "willful act of defiance" than "slendy-control".

Hmm, I hadn't noticed this so I re-watched a few times, and you're right he's definitely holding something, but I'm 99% sure it's his torch.

[ADD] Thanks all for clearing up the basement stairs issue for me, I've never seen a house laid out like that in the UK, so it caused some confusion on my part Smile

Really? I swore he took something out of his pocket and quickly flicked his wrist, like he was opening a knife. Maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe it is sort of both things?: I think that even he is approaching TO, it is not at will (why would he do so?). He is being drawn as ToTheFading said, or something like that, but he is also trying to fight him. So I think he is not being controled but nor in a "willful act of defiance". I don't know if I am explaining myself correctly. What I mean is that he was fighting to maintain control and it was being taken away and back from him.

Edit: Also, the switchblade thing: I thought I've seen it too... but I'm not sure, due then it seems that it is the flashlight.

Something about the pages that I haven't seen anyone else pick up on yet is the page that has Brian's name also says "SEES ME". I think this is more evidence proving Brian is Hoody.

I'm also on board the "TO feeds on memories" bandwagon.

Re: the aside about the cameras not showing evidence of time travel, if the camera is traveling/transporting along with whomever is holding it, why would there be a time lapse? If Tim and Jay didn't experience the lapse, the camera shouldn't either.

Overall, I really wish I had waited until the afternoon to watch because I'm going to be home alone for 7 more hours Shocked Excellent entry... I too feel my interest in the series waxing once more!

Yes! This is exactly what I've thought. I wanted to point it out, but I forgot while reading all those pages. Thank you for bringing this into discussion Smile

I think I'm in agreement with Kraehtot, though he is being drawn forward and is unable to properly stop himself, he is still trying his best to resist.

Though, the shots between 12:00 and 12:02 make it appear to be fairly conclusively a flashlight, in my mind at least, given we can see the full shape of it, and it has the rounded end where the bulb would be.

My comments seemed to get skipped over so I'll repost

First of all, it appears Jay is probably not hallucinating and, in fact, we can trust any source spotting him in so far as we can trust a source in this series. Oppy appeared in seconds for the camera, as he always does, displaying his power; who cares or knows whether or not Jay truly saw him or not because it seems that oppy just wants to say hi to just us, and only us, sometimes, who can say he doesn't have a similar relationship with Jay?

To fast forward after the Oppy attack. Is it me or does Tim seem awfully assertive towards the end? He seems to have a handle on the situation and just wants to get out of there, Jay too seems to be aware asking "Where is he (he being the operator is my guess)?" Also, have we seen a camera sustain such a clear shot during an operator attack ever?

My guess is Jay and Tim are feeling more confident with the operator nowadays and, perhaps, wanted to conjure this experience.

Might not be anything special, but at 2:14, Tim says

Just made me think of that note in the hospital tunnel that said liar...

But how would the sacrifice work if the people "sacrificed" are still alive?

Maybe Alex is not so much sacrificing their lives as much as other people's sanity?
Maybe the Operator is feeding on other people in a way

Shit.

It feeds off their memory.

Reposting because only two people seemed to notice this.

Regarding how the time warps occur, it seems like they consistently happen when the character goes through a door. Jay even told Jessica, "Don't close your door." In this entry, the time warp seems to happen when they go through the door to the basement.

Is there anything significant about the adapter that Jay finds in one of the kitchen cabinets? Seems like a stange thing for Alex to leave behind and/or a strange detail for the writers to include. Perhaps "The Adapter" is the Operator's brother...

Long-time lurker but never posted until I felt the need to point this out.

A bit of attention has been put on the multiple Slendy frames but I find it far more interesting that the first time it happens TO has no head...
at 11.55

...and I'm wondering if this is at all meaningful or just a coincidence that its head is covered by distortion at that point.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
or if the mannequin's head fell off at that point...

The strangest thing is that TO's spiffy red tie seems to have survived the distortion.

Long time lurker here. I didn't see anyone else mention this so I created an account solely to bring it up: at around 10:03 there are three lights that remind me of those lights in 'I have no fricken clue what entry'. I can't click fast enough to ss them for a post...anyone want to help deem me not crazy?! Shocked

Thx! That bottom one is what I was seeing. I've never witness a flashlight cause a lens diffraction like that (assuming it was caused by the light bouncing back into the cam lens). Although there is flare on it so maybe? Hmm guess I'll have to find the entry it reminds me of.

So those snippets are from when Tim turns back for Jay, however I do find it strange that there is distortion right before they appear and that they happen before the actual event they recorded. Specifically at 11:19. I noticed after watching that part again that at about 11:22 there are two flashes of light. At first I presumed they were from Jay's flashlight but when Tim retrieves the light it is on the ground and these flashes were between about waist and shoulder level. It also appears that someone moves in front of and off to the right of the lights (it blocks the light at one point...Hoody?).

Then again I may be just fabricating things where there is actually nothing of importance. Also if none of that made sense...I blame it on the meds.

So I watched it again this morning and I still definitely see someone moving during the flashlight flicker at 11:19, does no one else see this? It's just a shadow but when Tim runs up to Jay there's nothing that would cause it unless Jay had fallen right before Tim got there. I'm thinking it was Hoody.

Damn, that was an amazing entry!

Tim confronting The Operator in defiance had me at the edge of my seat! Very Happy

Did anybody do a spectograph on the video to see if there were anything hidden?
