Another theory is what if TO is trying to show Tm things. I forget what entry, but TO warps Tim to "Oppy world," shows him the guy that no longer has a face, and just lets him leave. What if TO was showing him what could happen if he doesn't stop Alex? Maybe Alex has control over Oppy now, somehow.

Kinda crazy, but plausible.

Hi. Maybe the reason why Tim got out of the "Oppy World" is because he knew the way out. Very Happy

I've been watching this entry repeatedly, mostly for the quality of the audio distortion during the confrontation with the Operator. That wierd singsong moaning, punctuated by higher-pitched squawks, strongly suggests a conversation to me.

I think that, if a bargain was made, Tim's offer was "Take me instead of him!" I fear that the Operator's response was " I'll hold you to that, but not just yet."

Another idea to consider is this: Why has such a nice house gone unrented for four years? Could it be that would-be tenants were creeped out by feelings of being watched, or saw tall figures ouit of the corners of their eyes?

Anyone else notice that at around 12:13 the distortion makes it look like 3-4 human shadows on the wall behind TO?

Maybe it suddenly shifted to night when buyers left

And speaking of the time shifting seriously,

I need to re-watch the video, but I'm sure that there are other examples.

I was wondering whether this was intentional or not. Did they take so long with getting that one take right that it was sunset when they got it?

The pills could be treating symptoms of Slendersickness. For example, cough medicine does nothing to the flu, but alleviates symptoms of the flu like coughing. Slendersickness has symptoms that can be treated like any other symptom.

Just because Slendersickness is supernatural doesn't mean that the medicines can't help even if it can't stop the root cause. (Which is how most medicines work anyhow.)

Though I think Tim's pills probably are both. They do treat symptoms and are actually meds, but his belief in them helping might cause them to do more than what they are supposed to.

Supernatural causes or not, everything we experience is mediated by our biology, and pressure on the mind must have proximate neurological causes. Pills that affect brain function therefore ought to help against Slendysickness. Not prevent it totally -- even Tim eventually collapsed -- but they can probably hold it off for a short time.

That's actually true of all medicine. All medicine has the placebo effect in addition to its own effects.

Idea The humming is part of a song that makes Slender Man retreat. Tim's godly voice sang it and the monster fled.

Troy and company usually are much smarter than that, as I think all series producers are. They'd notice if the light was changing too much. Especially if it were as obvious as it is in the video.

Chiming in to support this. In the case of certain psychiatric medications, actually, the statistical difference between the effectiveness of FDA-approved medications and placebos is often negligible.

Maybe, maybe not. I mean, I'm sure they're smart enough to have noticed the changing light, but we don't know how much time they had with the location. They might have had to film #71 and #72 in one day.

I think it was a joke: "the house has not been sold because of the time shifting", or something like that.

Hehe, Spanish.

Yes, I guess you all could be right. I've didn't thought that.

Any thoughts on Jay's comment at the beginning: "I remember this area being more wooded." It could simply be a way of bringing up his altered/incomplete memories from the events of entry 71, but it might also be a clue about the surrounding area (which is where TO first appears in this entry).

I've been thinkig about that and I'm not sute if it is just a reference of Jay's memory being "spotty" or there were actually more trees in the area (which will fit with the first entries, I guess?)

But it has reminded me what someone in here has said that when the Opperator first appears in this entry, there it seems like the trees are closer. I don't know (nor believe) if this has any significance at all, but my mind has tied ends xD

I think I know what that may have actually been about. I think much earlier, in a Tweet or a message or something, Jay said that Alex lived in a heavily wooded area, presumably at a point where Troy had a different OOG location for his house or didn't think he'd actually need to show it, and so Jay's comment was just a subtle in-joke of sorts.

Maybe they had to start using a different location for Alex's house, starting season 3, and he was making a tongue-in-cheek reference to that?

Yeah, that's what I meant- something along those lines.
