No, sorry. I play video-games that are fun and innovative, not Madden-style first person shooters that come out every six months. I like games with stories that draw me in and make me want to play them. Not games where I listen to twelve year old kids yell racial obscenities at me over a microphone in their stepdad's basement.
Where's that "like" button?

This is rage I've had since the first gahddamned entry, and it's the worst sort of rage -- rage you hold at the same time as you love something utterly.

The Operator. Has. No. Face. He is completely lacking in cranial sense organs -- no eyes, ears, nose, mouth.

Why in blasted motherfucking blazes does he need to turn his head?!? It's not as though he needs to "see" something better!

And no, I don't need anyone to "explain" this to me, okay? I get it. See the part up there where I talk about loving something utterly? Yep: the jump-scare T.O. head-turn in Entry #1 is still one of the scariest things I've ever seen, and I still love it to bits. And I understand that it's for effect, too. I understand the concept of the Uncanny Valley, and why the near-human is horrifying, m'kay? It's just that I find this particular thing infuriating, as bad as the Star Trek shake (which I know exists for the same basic purpose -- it's a compact visual way of communicating something larger).

It's... still just... fundamentally wrong.

He turned his head in Entry 1. You didn't complain then...

The first Rule of Scary: you do not talk about Scary.

Maybe he just does it because he knows it will freak people out?

But hey, we still don't know how or if TO can see at all. Assuming it's not blind, it's possible that whatever it uses to see require it to turn its head. I mean, the lack of eyes isn't really a good reason to assume that it can see in all directions 360 degrees at once, so why shouldn't it need to turn its head?

Of course, there's the old theory that it sees through cameras, so I'm not sure how that would fit with this...

I am enraged because of Marble Hornets being such an addictive and thrilling series. I can't stop thinking about it since I watched Entry #72... they cannot make us wait a lot more for the next, can they? Tim has also his camera and, and... I need more T__T

Edit: I meant "Tim had also his camera"

Hey - I just wanted to say that I kind of love you. Have you ever played Bastion? Are you looking forward to Transistor? Did you enjoy E3 yesterday? I personally believe that it was the best in years. Very Happy

I'm looking forward to Shadowrun returns being released later this month. God, this month is taking forever.

I didn't really watch E3, never played Bastion and hadn't heard of Transistor until just now. Bastion doesn't seem like my cup of tea, but Transistor might be. I'm a big fan of the Persona games and the Shin Megami Tensei games in general-- I have all of the PS2 Shin Megami Tensei titles, including the Devil Summoner ones and both versions of Persona 3 (Persona 3 and Persona 3FES) all of them are in their original boxes with the manuals.

Other games I've enjoyed would be Rockstar's Bully (which isn't at all what you think it is if you haven't played it), Dark Cloud 2, the Silent Hill games and the Resident Evil games, and lately I've taken a liking to the older Metal Gear Solid games. I also loved Catherine on the PS3 especially given that it was written by the Persona team. But seriously, as far as First Person Shooters go, if I wanted to play a good FPS, I'd load up DOS and play Doom or Quake or Wolfenstein 3D.

You have pretty good taste, my friend. I'm the same as you; I only really ever enjoy a game if it has an engaging story that I can get emotionally invested in and enjoy. Recent examples would be Metro Last Light, Amnesia, Bioshock, and Xenoblade Chronicles. I'm only about seven hours into Xenoblade. I really need to finish that before the summer's up... It doesn't help that I'm thinking about getting into other series as well, such as Kingdom Hearts.

You'd be surprised about Bastion. It's a heavily story-driven game with great characters. It has a habit of making you feel quite depressed because of the hopeless state that the game's world is in. I definitely recommend it; one of the best story-driven games I've played in years, and the art design is AWESOME. The guys who are working on Transistor are the same who made Bastion.

It's on sale on Steam quite often, and it's only around $15 I believe normally. I recommend checking it out. I have a feeling you won't be disappointed. Smile

Classic shooters are definitely great. There's that time every few months where I fire up the original DOOM or one of the original Turok games and enjoy the nostalgia. I don't like many newer FPS's (Bioshock and Halo are really the only ones I follow and enjoy), but I'm really looking forward to Destiny, as Bungie created Halo which is my current favorite sci-fi universe. Destiny's looking like it's going to blow me away in that regard, but I'll probably only wind up getting it if a PC version comes out.

I haven't played much of Resident Evil, but I have the remakes/remasters of RE1 and RE4 sitting on the shelf behind me. I bought them months ago but haven't played them yet. A lot of friends get on my ass quite often to play them ASAP. Everyone's telling me how amazing the RE1 remake is. I just have so many games to play right now; I'll get to 'em eventually.

Also, check out Watch Dogs and The Division from E3, if you haven't. They're both new IP's (among dozens of others) that look pretty great.
