I can see that, but at the same time... it would be odd to be crossing off names if there was just an attempt.

Is the Operator working from a "you tried, so you get a gold star" basis?

Well, we can clearly see Jay and Tim's name among those crossed off, and they certainly survived Alex's attempts, so yeah, it's already odd in that regard.

Also, by that system, does that mean Alex gets to cross off Bruce's name twice?

Bruce?
He had nothing to do with the Marble Hornets filming.

Regarding Tim's bag and his insistence on putting the papers in the top pocket, to me it sure seems like he's hiding something. He goes out of his way to say "No, top pocket, top pocket" in a pretty insistent manner, then when Jay pans up Tim shoot him a bit of a guilty or nervous look (of course that could be attributed to their over all nervousness). Now I was among those who thought that Tim might have been holding Alex's gun at the end of Entry#67, and I'm surprised that no one has suggested this considering there were others who thought that too, but I had been kind of assuming that Tim has been walking around with the gun stashed away somewhere, so of course that's the first thing I thought when he said "top pocket". Just putting that out there since no one else has.

(Sorry wasn't here...) Are you talking about at 6:40? In the woods at night?
Since when does Masky wear black gloves?

I'm thinking that the orders of the names matters. The orders for the pages is Brian, Tim, Sarah, Jay (and on the page that lists them all Seth is between Brian and Tim.) Based on what we know about the chronology at the hospital when Brian went missing then is seems like Jay was "goned" first, then Sarah, then Tim, Seth and Brian. Given that Tim suggested that Alex's making Jay "gone" was a panic reaction then I think we could learn a lot from how Sarah went missing, because the attack on Tim probably was planned in advance. Was the attack on Sarah the first one that was planned?

Um, are you talking about when Alex beat them up and gave them to Slendy? Because Jay wouldn't have been "gone" first- he was "goned" after the filming for Marble Hornets had already ended. Brian was "goned" during the filming. And I just rewatched the whole series and they seriously don't ever talk about Sarah that much.

Sarah: Yeah, she doesn't get much of a mention anywhere. But for the rest of the stuff, I don't think it's certain that Alex gave Jay the tapes and then attacked him after taking Brian et al to the hospital. The hospital tapes weren't in the ones that Alex gave to Jay so it's possible that Alex tried to get rid of Brian, Tim and Seth after giving Jay the tapes. Apart from the order of the names on these pieces of paper, I'd agree with you- it's certainly more likely that Jay was goned last, but if the order of the papers matters then perhaps not. It's just an idea that make Sarah's disappearance a bit more intriguing, and an entry I'd like to see Smile

My personal theory regarding Jay's hallucinations is that TO is essentially gaslighting Jay. Causing hallucinations, then actually appearing, so Jay can never know when he's actually seeing TO and when he isn't.

Then again, that also gets into TO's motivations, of which we know nothing, since the things he does seems rather arbitrary anyways.

This is just the same impression I had when I first saw this entry. Really. I've also thought that maybe he is not exactly hallucinating, but at heart what you'be said is what I've felt while watching this.

Buuuut Alex "goned" Jay after he had announced that he was DONE with the film/gave up on it, and I'm sure that he would have told everyone (the cast/crew) that. Alex got Brian to the hospital because Brian was under the impression that he was shooting some B-roll for the film, so that would have been before Alex had stopped production. So, Brian was definitely "goned" before Jay.

Anyhow, as I said before, I think that before/if we can assume anything from the papers, we'll get an Entry 72.5 so we can take a look at them all. Keep in mind, we didn't even get a look at all of them, and the way that Tim was shuffling through them, they probably won't even be in the same order when/if we get a closer look at them.

I do love that it seems like Tim still keeps his Mask state jacket in his bag.

To be honest if I was Tim I'd have the Mask too.

I mean, if I had someone to depend on like Jay and I knew my other personality might attack him I would want my friend to have a warning when I'm not myself.

And since I know my alter-ego likes to wear a mask more often than not it would provide a pretty good visual clue that something is wrong.

I'm talking about the end of #67 when Tim wakes up in the field, he pulls "something" from his pocket and looks at it with what appears to be alarm. The other explanation is that it is simply his phone and he's reacting to the date, but I like to think that Masky put the gun in his pocket when he left him there.

@ paladin and Em -- you guys, I'm a puddle of goo over here, now. But I am not... gonna... cry. Nope. It's, um, raining inside, yeah, that's what's happened. Indoor... rain. Yep.

I thought so too at first but by this point, I think Tim would have told Jay. Unless Jay already knows and the gun is being kept secret so they can surprise Alex if he attacks.

I think that the page with all the names on them is a better indicator of the order in which Alex tried to off them. The last three names on there are listed as: Tim, Seth, Brian, so the order was either Jay-Sarah-Tim-Seth-Brian or Sarah-Jay-Tim-Seth-Brian.

That would mean that the Seth entry takes place between Tim's beating in Entry #56 and Brian's in #51. That may seem like a stretch, but Tim could've been curled up in that corner for a week, for all we know.

Did Alex "gone" Jay some other time, then? I stand by my former statement, Jay had to have been "goned" after Brian. Unless some crazy time travel is involved, but in MH we've only seen time move forward, never backwards.
