So: if you are a) a native speaker of English, b) curious to hear Kraehtot's beautiful voice, and c) want to help her absolutely ace her English oral exam -- send her a PM and let her know you want to Skype with her, too. Because she won't ask, and trust me, this is something you totally want to do.

Hmm... maybe I should look into that. Smile

Way off topic, I finished The Last of Us. It's a freaking amazing game. It's a decent length to be finished in a weekend but no too short to make you wanting more(out of one game).

You're so lucky!! This game looks awesome, but I will never be able to play it, so I'll just wait to watch while others are paying (or watch Pewdiepie's videos) e__e

Because I've got no money to buy a new videoconsole nor new videogames. My PS2 and my PC will last forever xD

That happens to me all the time! I see something online, on a blog or something, but when I check the blog again the next day, I realise that what I saw was a dream... Freaks me out every time.

I'm enjoying it so far (only reached the Capitol building yet, though- I'm very slow with my games.) The plot's a little slow until this point, though- does it pick up the pace after the Capitol?

No, not really. I didn't feel it was too slow, but that's me.

Oh, man. Trust me, I really would like, but as I said before, I've got no money. Those things are too damn expensive. The most expensive thing I've bought this year has been a book, so... you can imagine my economy is not the wealthiest xD.

I prefer older video-game systems like the PlayStation 2 because they don't require me to connect to the internet and don't try to make me download stuff that should have already been in the finished game. Don't misunderstand me, I have a PlayStation 3 and I love it, but it's kind of ridiculous when you look at it. I mean, does a game really need to be in HD? It's okay, I guess, but graphics aren't everything-- for me, it's about the story. Look at the Persona games on PS2-- they have enticing stories with characters that you feel emotionally attached to by the end of your journey.

While the PS3 has great games like Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, and it has a good character-- Frank the Photographer, he's more of a thinly veiled Bruce Campbell carbon copy who's just fun to hang around with than a character with depth and intrigue. I like to be entertained and be told a message-- no matter how intricate and confusing that message is, I want it to be there. That's why I play the old Harvest Moon games.

Well, I do agree with you with that. I mean, I really like the games I've got for the PS2 because of the story, not because of the graphics. One of my favourite games ever is from Game Boy Advance, and the best Resident Evil I've played was for the first Play Station. I've not played any PS3 game, so I can not really make any actual oppinion about them, but I'm under the impression that, as you said, are more focused in the graphics than in the story.

There are good and bad on both systems- it's not that those type of good, story-driven games are limited to the PS2 era and earlier, nor are they limited to the current era. Games like Bioshock Infinite and Portal 2 still tell damn good stories.

I basically agree with you on what makes a good game (though I certainly don't mind some nice shiny HD provided it wasn't prioritized over the important parts of the game), but I think that the good stuff isn't necessarily gone on the newer systems. That said, while a couple of my favorite games are from the current generation, most of my favorite games are Super Nintendo or PS1.

I didn't necessarily mean to imply that good graphics are a bad thing, I'm just saying, I can play Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, a game that came out twelve years ago today and it will still manage to scare the crap out of me and make me emote as we learn more about the characters. And yes, I totally shelled out twenty five bucks for the HD ports of Silent Hill 2 and 3 on PS3-- why? New voices and TROY FUCKING BAKER as James Sunderland!
