Unless you get the Xbox fail One, you never have to connect to the internet or download anything, although system updates are good, and game patches are good as they fix bugs, which can be very annoying. Most games I play don't have tons of dlc, and usually don't contribute to the story, which is how it should be, games should have all the story on the one disk, although I don't mind expansions as they usually add a lot to the game. There are still plenty of new games with a good story, and the good gfx is just a bonus. Gfx don't make a game, contrary to popular belief, story and character development, plus game play makes a game.

I didn't even like the original XBox or the XBox 360 and I certainly don't like where they're going with the idiotically named XBox One. Shit, I'd never even played a PS3 or any next-gen game until the beginning of this year when I buckled and bought one.

I am happy to be home tomorrow. Get to see all my friends again, who went to Cali while I was here in Texas. Still, this is probably one of the best vacations I've been on, and I've been to Hawaii and Germany.

Also, Kraehtot, when's that oral exam? I'd be willing to help out.

Agreed. And the Xbox One's name is mind-bogglingly dumb too. I mean what do I call the first one now? Are they trying to pretend the first two never happened or something? I mean, I wasn't fond of Wii U as a name, but this is ridiculous. Although I disagree about the "should have all the story on the one disk"- FFVII had a great story across three disks. Mr. Green

Also, Serum, yes. Silent Hill 2 was amazing.

Oh, and Happy because apparently Flaming Nutter this is an emoticon now? I don't recall seeing it before, but I like it. Reminds me of home.

Oh shut up you, you paid one price and got all at once. I agree, FFVIII is an amazing game over 4 disks. It's my second fav FF game, after FFX, which I've been hanging out for the remake of that forever. But you know what I mean. [cough]EA[/cough] shouldn't release a ton of nit picky dlc for their games when the original game is so amazing but you need the dlc to completely finish the story, oh well.

I asked her that same thing, and apparently it's at the discretion of her professor. Shocked The exam is split into a written portion, a listening test, and then the oral exam. If a student hasn't passed the first two, he won't bother scheduling the last.

Not that this is going to be a problem for Kraehtot -- I'm sure she's aced all of it. But it's not clear what's taking him so long to decide on dates, if he's grading all of them first and then notifying students or (what seems more likely, given the pace), grading each exam one by one and then scheduling the orals. I told her the lack of a fixed date for a final exam would never fly in the States... Screwy

p.s. Safe travel back home, and I'm glad you had a good time. Very Happy

I've got news from my professor! It seems that the exam will be the 25th or the 26th most likely.
So Beidah, if you would like to talk with me, we can do it! ^^ Thank you so much for be willing to help (I think I just invented that construction? xD.)
And, yes, I hope you travel back home to be safe Smile

(Even if the exam is over, it will be a pleasure to talk to anyone in here. My English side of the brain would be grateful.) Very Happy

Happy first day of summer, happy that this workweek is finally approaching its end, happy that I have resisted (thus far) the urge to strangle those who so richly deserve it. Shifty Eyes

Will be happier when this damn cold is over.

Wish I had that restraint. The pile of dead bodies is starting to exceed the size of my basement.

Oh, and feel better.
