Can I ask a question? This is completely serious, and I will try my best not to sound bitchy about it... but I am going to hijack this thread a bit...

Why do people feel compelled to post EVERY series they find? If the best you can say is "It's OK, some episodes can get really boring." Why bring it to the community at large? Is it just a "gotta catch'em all" mentality?

There are nearly 100 series going, some of which are excellent, most of which are dross. The dross that gets posted pushes the series that actually deserve attention to the bottom of the forum, and they get forgotten, gems buried in sawdust.

Seriously, if I'm missing some larger thing, help me understand. I might come to an internet community to discuss some amazing meal I just had, but I'm not going to post every McDonald's I go to... right?

In that case I would refrain from saying anything. I am often asked to post trailheads, and there are plenty of ways to do it without passing judgment on the series. All you really need is "Here's this series."
