Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ajax pharma on the pill bottle Story takes from her medicine cabinet.

So I'm delurking to share a little Wikipedia wisdom, Ajax was one of the principal warriors in the Illiad and was super strong. I'm guessing this might mean they're protecting Story from ol' Slendy. Also a little more than curious about Story's new look.

You may or may not be facetious, but I will bite the bullet anyway.

EvermanHYBRID, DarkHarvest00, and from this thread WhisperedFaith, are all series that I am aware of that take place in New Jersey.

Thank you for answering, and that was an honest question! The only slender series I'm watching are this one and Marble Hornets P: So I have no idea about the other ones.

Alright, so I'm new to the thread, and first want to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Emily. *waves*

Now I just recently got introduced to KG (through a comment on the most recent WF video), so I've been scrambling to finish all of the videos and read all of this specific thread as I could. I have a few things I have "speculated" (I guess you could call it that), so I just wanted to throw them out here to see if I'm just totally out there or maybe I'm on to something. I apologize ahead of time if something I've said has already been discussed.

Alright, onward then:

The first thing I want to discuss is what kind of 'verse this would be considered...
In the beginning, because of the appearance of Slendie, it would be generally assumed that this series would be apart of the Slenderverse, so to speak (and even then, there are so many, that it makes it hard to pinpoint info that may end up beneficial). But the introduction of the Black Dog proves that this story is somewhere else, which personally excited me from the moment I could see this wasn't just another MH, EMH, TT, or DH. With this introduction, however, I realized that this still left this question with no answer. Would this make KG's 'verse part of the Fearverse, or something of her own creation. (Let me digress a second, and I will come back to this topic.)

The Fearverse, for anyone unaware of what it is, is a universe involving several characters known as 'Fears'. (Click here for more info.) This universe includes some crowd favourites, such as the Rake and Slendie himself.

If this is part of the Fearverse, I think that explains a lot.

Now knowing that there is going to be a crossover between WhisperedFaith and Keratin Garden, this makes me wonder what there connection is. (I would like to hear other people's opinion on this question here.)

Whispered Faith is, from what I can tell, an only Rake story. The Rake is not mentioned in KG, so this brings me to many questions. This goes back to figuring out what Universe KG is in. Now, looking at other ARGs (mainly the big ones), there is only one other that features the rake (to my knowledge, which I'm taking from MH, EMH, TT, and DH) and that is EverymanHYBRID. However, TribeTwelve did go and help them on their journey, which by assumption, would mean that they are within the same realm or 'verse. (Also note that DarkHarvest did visit TT, which also draws the same conclusion.) But when combined, all that is featured is Slendie, Rake, and The Collective (and the cult). No other Fear is mention, however, which does not match the criterion for being a part of the Fearverse. So that leads me to the question: would this mean that Slendie and the Rake be included with a Fear and not be from the Fearverse.

Of course, this is very likely, and I may just be over thinking this, but why not? I got all day!

Now, let's say we do figure out that KG is based in the Fearverse... I have a bit of a theory, so roll with me on this one.

Quote:
The Great Game

Other Names: Ludus Deorum (Latin: Game of Gods), The Grand Game.
The Great Game is a term often used to refer to the relation between The Fears and humans. The ultimate goal to this game is unknown, but The Fears will commonly make and break alliances with one another to reach it.

Certain Fears do not interfere in the Game much; if it at all. The Blind Man for example prefers to act as an observer while The Empty City does not actively participate and instead serves as a neutral meeting ground for the Fears and their Servants. Out of all the fears The Archangel appears to take the most enjoyment in The Game.

Humans are incapable of playing as they are in fact the pieces, being manipulated like one would manipulate the pieces of a chess or checkers board.

(From The Fear Mythos Wiki, which is linked above.)

Quote:
Proxies are the Slender Man's standard servants, and are commonly described wearing masks and hoodies in order to hide their identities. The name originated from the Slender Man Mythos vlog, Dark Harvest. Later on, it was explained that there were different types of proxies:

Hallowed (or Hollowed): Those whose minds have been destroyed by the Slender Man and placed under his control. They usually behave as mindless puppets, utilizing brute force. Their bodies contain the black tar-like substance known as Azoth or "slendersludge."

Sleepers: Those who are under Slender Man's control but are not aware of it. They are often Runners who come under his control when they're mind is at its weakest, during blackouts or sleep.

Berserkers: Those who are under Slender Man's control but can act on their own when he can't be arsed commanding them. They usually work their way into positions of trust to further Slender Man's agenda.

Agents: Those who willingly serve Slender Man, retaining their personality and individuality. For example, Albert Conaghan from Seeking Truth and Joseph Steward from Hidden in the Trees were both agents.

Revenants: Those who were granted superpowers by the Slender Man. These servants were later shown to be hallucinations created by the Slender Man in an attempt to have runners focus on fighting them instead of him. The most popular example of a (former) Revenant was Reach from What You Are In The Dark.

Altered: Those who Slender Man picked to go one step further and turn into humanoid abominations rather than using the usual method of proxifying humans. The first known instance of an Altered was The Weeping Willow, the entity The Willow Mythos takes it's name from.

(From The Fear Mythos Wiki, which is linked above.)

I will reference this later in my speculation, so I decided to put it there for reference.

Now, we all could see that in the beginning, Slenderman was affecting her videos and was even sighted several times. Well, I will venture to say that I think Story was turned into a proxy of some sort. Now whether she's just a plain MH proxy or something totally different, it doesn't really matter. But I will draw from the Fear Mythos for my conclusion; Story seems to be a sleeper. For example, in one of the videos, she find what appears to be a proxy mask. Or just a mask, but I think it looks awfully suspicious (even more, now that she can't find the mask). Not only that, but a video is also shown with her standing creepily with the mask in hand. That video was just unnerving, personally. The proxy-ism would also explain her sleep walking later in the series as well.

Now, I think that it's a little odd, being as all fears generally steer clear of each other, that the black dog has come about to mess with someone who is previously in relation to Mr. Slend. This leads me to believe that there has to be some kind of ulterior motive lurking about this story. I will venture to say that perhaps this is a fear trying to free a human from another Fear's control. Honestly, in that realm, it only makes sense.

To go on that theory, this would tie in perfectly with The Great Game theory/basis that holds in the Fearverse. Perhaps this could explain why the black dog ends up helping Story (even though he did hurt her first) with finding the next coordinates... Which, by the way, lead to being near a youtuber with another Fear grasping him. This may just introduce the rake -- or maybe it won't.

Who knows, right? That's all I've got for now. What do you guys think?

--Emily

No, definitely NOT a series creator or one of their friends attempting to bypass forum rules and explain plot points in the story or anything like that. Much too greenhorn/kilroy for that.
LoL
Otherwise, love this series so far great acting.

@OMGItsAPancake:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I asked KG's creator about that exact point back when the dog started becoming a major figure in the videos. She replied that this is definitely a Slender Man story.

The registration and inspection stickers on her car (from the Parking Garage video) are definitely from Texas.
