How long until the end?

I'm in no hurry to see Marble Hornets end, but given that we're in the final season, we all know it's going to end eventually and thrown back into the abyss that it is regular television and film. (Coming up next...Chuck Lorre tries to understand those wacky females in his new sitcom, Mom Sad)

Personally, I think we've still got quite a bit to go, as Troseph really haven't effectivily teased out Hoody's identity yet - apart from Brian, who is the most obvious canditate, we don't really have a sense of how any of the other members of the crew could be Hoody. Yes, Masky's identity wasn't all that hard to figure out back in season two, but it was still very early in the game and it wouldn't feel all that dramitically satisfying if they went with the most obvious canditate without some double or triple or knowing Troseph's deviousness quadriable bluff - and just because Alex told us they were 'gone', doesn't neccessairly mean their dead or escaped from The Operator's clutches somehow (and we didn't see Amy or Sarah being taken or whatever happened to Seth in Entry #20....so we don't have a gurrante that they suffered the same fate) .

It's possible that the bulk of the narration could go to Tim from this point on - (perhaps even, in a truly shocking momment, have Jay die) as he begins to recall (perhaps due to his resistance to general Slendiness) what happened all those years ago, with the prompt of the lost tapes and further mind games and visits by Hoody. Having us feel even closer to Tim, as the new main protraganist and being fully aware he could snap back into Maskiness at any time would be an intresting source of tension for the audience and an intresting shake up to the series (I love Jay - he's my favourite character! But, I don't mind character death or things being shaken up severely in a series)

(That or knowing Troseph, we see footage of Jay sickly and ill and have Tim tells us that's he dead, but then fifteen or so entries later, we recieve an upload from Jay with him locked in Tim's dark basement, staring into the camera, covered in grime, full beard, with Tim's voice off camera but he, in Tim's basement, with Tim saying: "Youuur my only friend Budddddddddddddddddy")

I hope they get it over with soon. I'm kind of at the point with this series where I'm tired of it, and I'm ready for it to be over. I've been here so long - I'll stick around to see how it all plays out, but I'm generally sick of waiting for non-story-developing entries. If they just wanted to hammer out two 20 minute episodes and wrap everything up by Summer's end, I'd be happy with that. Really though, I'm ready for it to be over.

You'd be surprised at how many people think this way. We have been waiting for answers since S1, that's 3 years ago. Yea, we are tired already. I just want my damn answers (Although i don't want the series to lose it's quality) and let's just get this over with.

I hope it'll still take a long while. Gonna miss it when it's over.

Assuming 26 entry seasons, we have 6 more Marblehornets channel non-x.5 entries left. With the end if the last entry and the tweet that Tim sent out, I believe we won't see an entry for a month or so. Maybe some twitter updates from Tim, but I doubt he'll go out with camera until he can stablize Jay. That won't happen though. I expect a delayed TTA upload that will lead Tim to go out on his own. Jay will be gone when.he gets back and incomes the plot twist that really makes sense how the series has gone to the end. Initially I though Jay would be the one that died, I'm now sure it'll be Tim if anyone.

How long until it's over? I'll tell you, in the words of the original Tall Man, himself:

Also calling it as you all will be disappointed with the great ending. It will answer the questions that NEED to be anwsered and it will end in the same way Brian being dragged off did.

I remember Troy stating that Seasons 1 and 2 both having 26 entries was entirely coincidental and shouldn't lead us to believe that Marble Hornets will end on Entry #78. There are still many loose ends that need tying, which I expect they'll do it in the last few entries.

I don't think you can address all those unanswered questions in the space of only six entries, so I think we'll go farther than Entry #78. Definitely not as far as Entry #100, but I think we still have quite a few more to go.

I think Troy said that he wanted to explain what happened to ALL of the characters in Season 3, which I hope would include Sarah. Her actor moved away, but maybe they can still explain her demise without having her make an appearance.

I hope we'll get a "Final Entry" followed by a "Conclusion" video, similar to "Introduction." Give us that and I'll be happy.

But we have the movie to look forward to which, based on the fact that a lot of people from Paranormal Activity are involved in it, should be just as good if not better!

Yeah what Geneaux said...

It's been confirmed that Seasons 1 and 2 both having 26 entries was a coincidence.

Actually Troy said on his blog that we should be expecting a new entry by this week.

Hopefully it will end in whatever amount of time it takes to resolve everything and provide a satisfactory conclusion.

I think Troy's "won't necessarily be 26 entries" comment is his being intentionally misleading to keep the end a surprise. It's going to end on #78.

I think we have to have a least 10-15 entries left. Any less and they'd be squeezing all the answers in at once and really ending on a bad note bc not all that much storyline-wise happened in season 3. Most of the arcs took entirely too many entries to resolve (found footage with really lame revealing info on it - the sacrificing of jay / alex mentioning amy. some of you might have liked that, i thought it could have been skipped and filled in with something more relevant)

There's still just so much left unsaid, and so much more they can do with the storyline. I really want to believe we're at the halfway point for this season. If it ends soon and the ending isn't "holy shit" crazy, the MH movie will tank like a motherfucker. Season 1 is already a huge entry barrier for newcomers since it has low production quality/ lots of uneventful entries, but knowing that the series wraps up in a shitty fashion will ensure that people tell their friends not to bother watching it.

I still have a hard time getting people to continue watching once they hit like entry 10. People get super bored of season 1.
