Disney's The Optimist http://www.insidethemagic.net/2013/07/disney-launches-the-optimist-alternate-reality-game-spanning-social-media-disneyland-ending-at-the-2013-d23-expo/
Press release points to:
http://optimist.disney.com/
Which, for now, only leads to:

Which is a blog that also links to her twitter account:

Didn't see another thread about this, so forgive me if I missed it.

My guess is it is related to this upcoming film:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1964418/
Certainly looking forward to this, I will be in Disneyland in a few weeks as well, so the timing is perfect for me! Hopefully there will be something there when I go visit!

Yeah, and you know what else I hate?
Jesus christ, does Disney really think we are that stupid? Have Disney not get the memo that most good corporations got and have decided the rules of TINAG don't apply to them?

I know. I think everyone would love another ILB but if companies like Disney act like this then it won't happen. Oh well, I might lurk to see where this goes but lets just say that I'm not optimistic.

(chuckles to self)
I suppose Disney has to aim for the "broader market"
If it's Tomorrowland (2014), there may be a tie-in to this:

while the fictional character thing annoyed me too, i do have faith in this game as all indicators point to it being a lead up to Tomorrowland, a Lindelof film. Also an earlier "discovery" of a box in the disney archives (http://collider.com/damon-lindelof-tomorrowland-details/ ) also seems connected, as Damon says finding it in Walts personal studio is what inspired the film. and Lindelof states there could be at least 50 more boxes like this, (possibly meaning 50 people will receive packages sometime) so even if Disney doesn't realize that TINAG I'm still gonna play as I expect a fun time ahead of us

Sorry nighthawk1- I popped in an edit re "the box" sametime you were posting.
More on the box

We hear that the collaborators are planning an elaborate, very J.J. Abramslike advanced marketing campaign that will start before filming even begins. The idea is to stage a treasure hunt for intrigued moviegoers that will gradually reveal clues about and build intrigue for the film right up until its release, and which may or may not be related to the contents of the box.
This could be alright!

Much as I'd like to believe this ties into Brad Bird's "Tomorrowland" film, I think this is a separate experience. The press release indicated this will "culminate" at the D23 Expo in August.
