"LIAR" makes me think Tim or Jay, but the amount of static shown when the attic door opens makes it seem a lot more like Alex than anyone else. I could've sworn I saw glasses on the figure in the window, but that doesn't necessarily matter as Alex can take off his glasses or whoever was playing the part could put them on.

But we've not seen that much static from anyone other than Alex or Slendy when they're not in a hooded/masked state. That's what is the strongest indicator to me, because there's never been static unless Slendy or Alex is actively involved in what's going on.

Vaguely off-topic: when I picked up the tape I literally said "oh, hell" out loud. It'd be nice to get a slightly faster pace rather than more found tapes.

I would actually want to see this. If I recall correctly, it hasn't yet been explained why Brian's house was thrashed.

Yes they did. In entry 20 Alex says, "So we're here on the set of Marble Hornets, here at Brian's house."

And it is the same house from 16, 17, 18, 20, and 23.

I think this was posted pages ago, but i really want to point this out, no one has really made a lot of comments beyond ''Yea, it's Tim''.

What is Hoody's thing over Tim? He seems more obsessed over him than Alex or Jay, just a thought.

I've been staring at this picture for a while now and still don't see Tim...can anyone help with that?

His eye is in the center.

Eye center, sideburn left...yup that's Tim! Thanks for the help The Condor, I see him now!

Has anyone matched that view up to an entry yet?

In all honesty, I was disappointed with this entry. The whole first part was kind of drug out with Hoody wandering around his place. I mean, it's fine, it's just that I feel like they could've done something a little more interesting.

It starts to pick up when Hoody walks all day towards...his destination. The whole breaking in part was decently suspenseful, although it didn't make much sense how he was trying to be quiet breaking in, and then he starts making all this noise when he gets into the bathroom cabinets. I know he was looking for pills, but it was just sort of silly.

But the main question of this entry seems to be "was that Alex or Jay?" I'm about 95% sure it's Alex. First, why would Jay and Tim be staying at a house like that right now? It seems more likely that they would be staying in some random hotel. Second, who else would be chilling in an attic at night like that? That's an Alex type thing to do. Third, I don't see why there would just be one tape lying around if it was Jay's. Again, that's an Alex thing to do. And finally, to me, it looks like Alex staring out the window at the end.

You guys made some solid cases about it being Jay though, so I'm definitely leaving that as a possibility, but I'm seriously doubting it. Hopefully, Jay or Tim can make a tweet soon confirming if that was them or not. Just a simple, "It looks like Alex has another tape lying around." Then we would immediately know it wasn't them in the video.

Anyway, I'm not really looking forward to waiting another month for an entry. Sometimes they release them faster though, so there is a chance we could get another by the end of July. It just sucks waiting a month and then we get an entry where the plot goes basically nowhere.

Here's to hoping they're leading up to something great.

Hoody was being quiet in case someone caught him breaking into a house at night. I don't think he knew someone else was in there with him, so it didn't matter if he made any noise inside the house.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but I would think he would at least suspect someone was in there. Whatever, it's not like it matters.

I tried looking at the shoes to see if we could match them to somebody's footwear in past entries. At 3:01 you get a pretty damn good shot of Hoody's shoes. It's clear that these shoes are very old and worn, perhaps suggesting that he has worn them for a very long time?

Looking at Brian's shoes in Entry #51, he is wearing black shoes like Hoody, however I don't think they are the same shoes. Hoody's shoes don't seem to cover as much of the ankle as Brian's. In entries 54 and 55, Brian seems to be wearing sandals.

I'm not sure if there are any shots of Seth's feet other than Entry #54. There he seems to be wearing sandals.

I have those same shoes, incidentally. Avia Oil and Slip Resistant.

They're sorta cheap--the toe starts coming loose after a few months of wear, exactly like when he sat down on the mattress and drank some water last time he uploaded a video. After a year, they're pretty rough. His look to be in better shape than my old pair; given the wear pattern, I don't think they'd appear any further back than a year. I wear mine for work, so I think mine wore faster than a normal.

I'll have to check older videos to tell who's wearing what

Maybe this is over-thinking it, but is anybody else concerned that Jay hasn't set this video to "Unlisted" and reposted with his text narration? I know he didn't do it for entries like Entry ######, but ever since then he has quickly taken it down and put up an official video explaining that it wasn't him.
Is Jay (and maybe Tim) incapacitated at the moment? That tweet from Tim makes me wonder that.

OOG:
Could also be that they're attending a con and they'll take care of that when they get back.

I think something has gone seriously amiss. It's been a day. In the past, when Hoody has hijacked the MH account to upload something, Jay has noticed within a short time, taken the vid private, and re-uploaded it with new "titles". Now, nothing. No acknowledgment on the Twitter feed either. The last tweet is from 1 July when Tim posted.

It might be that with Jay "out of it", Tim has insufficient expertise to... add a white-on-black title to a video? Maybe. But why remain silent about it, given that Tim now has access to the Twitter? Something may have happened to T & J.

Edit:

We noticed that simultaneously I think. You posted while I was writing.

Coming late to the thread, but I really dig how this entry starts to push the focus onto the struggle for survival within the characters' internal selves. TO isn't really much of a threat these days, the real danger seems to be the sickness and the madness.

It seems to me like the only person with access to the pills from a mainstream source is Tim. I would assume Alex could get them, but he seems perfectly content to just be insane without them. Hoody seems to be a derelict, wandering the woods and streets, it's doubtful he could walk into a doctors office let alone obtain a prescription. We've seen that the pills prevent the attacks from turning people, but that's in large handful doses. If I'm not mistaken, we've also seen Tim just take one, like it's a normal pill. Not during a state of attack, just like it's his normal daily med routine. This leaves me to wonder (infer) a few things;

- The way TO controls his victims is through psychological manipulation, we never see him attack really. Maybe the low, constant dosage keeps TO from having a strong psychological effect on you, which would explain why nobody is getting haunted like Alex was in Season 1.

- I rewatched Season 1 and half of 2 with a friend who is new to the series after watching entry 73, and one of the things that really struck me was the TTA video 'Return.' I'm wondering if what we're seeing in that video is an early test of the pills, and their effectiveness in staving off TO.

That's all I've got for now

So Jay was a guinea pig for testing those pills?

Regarding Jay/Tim not unlisting the video and then reuploading it with commentary (and the fact that Hoody added--or at least tried to add--the traditional title opening), this could be a sign that they're now actively working with Hoody. It was theorized that the knock on the door in Entry 67.5 was Hoody arriving to finalize a deal with Jay. It's possible that they agreed to work together (Hoody exploring Rosswood and Jay/Tim exploring College Town). Jay might have then given Hoody the youtube password (since Hoody can hack into the account, anyway) so he could upload his videos directly.

If that's the case, we might be in store for another "There's something I haven't told you [the audience]" entry from Jay (similar to when he disclosed that he was recording himself constantly), showing a meeting between Jay, Hoody, and Tim. Unless, of course, Jay is working with Hoody without Tim's knowledge (since Tim also seems to bear a special disdain for Hoody), which opens up a potentially explosive subplot.

It also might be useful to look at the recent pattern regarding uploads and Twitter announcements:
68 is uploaded directly by Hoody.
Jay nearly immediately removes 68 and reuploads as Entry 68.
Jay and Tim do not disclose their new location until Entry 69, which Jay uploads and announces via Twitter.
Jay uploads Entry 70 and announces via Twitter.
Jay promises Entry 71 on Twitter.
Jay uploads Entry 71, but does not announce it on Twitter (perhaps because he and Tim "have been busy," as mentioned on Twitter).
Jay uploads Entry 72 and announces via Twitter.
Tim takes over Twitter, announcing Jay is "out of it."
Hoody uploads Entry 73, with no announcement on Twitter.

It seems like the Twitter feed and the youtube uplaods are becoming less synchronized, perhaps because they're now being operated managed by increasingly more people.

Random thoughts:

1) What if the TTA text is actually directed at Hoody directly, not at Tim or Jay? Most of the things in the Hoody videos (Look what you have done, etc.) could be applied to him in those situations.

2) If the pills keep Tim, well Tim, maybe Hoody needs them to stay in whatever state he is in as well.

3) I know that Hoody walks past Jay while he is sleeping in a early episode, but if Jay == Hoody, there may be some logic to his refusing pills, doubly so if Hoody needs them to stay hoody. Don't know some kind of time dilation or something here could explain this... I know that Jay probably != Hoody, but it could happen Rolling Eyes.

Beyond that I found the episode pretty interesting.

Oh yay first post!
