field agent code

Here's the code I got:

70012000

And here's what I've found so far at the sciencesucks forum:
Other field agent codes posted:
19381000
95045000
45376000
70337000
70012000
69878000
70337000

And thejester posted these IP addys
norbac.ca [66.45.237.198]
regenesistv.com [66.45.237.198]
secondcoming.ca [66.45.249.61]

If you want to get a field agent code, send an email to tiplineSPLATnorbac.ca and mention in the body of the message the website http://secondcoming.ca You'll get an email with a url for a video clip that gives your code.

error correction

I got this:

The technical team at NorBAC has alerted me that a few agent codes have
been generated incorrectly.
Your code was flagged as one of these, and I wanted to apologize. This
system was designed to congratulate users, not confuse them.
For clarity, our internal records show your field agent code as:
70012000 - if this is not what appeared automatically, then you should update
your records to this new code.
Please accept our apologies and renewed thanks for your diligent
investigation.

I've had a go at combining the http://66.45.2. with some of the other posted agent codes

just using one of the agent codes as an ip address (70.01.20.00)
converting it from hex and then using it as an ip address (46.01.20.00)
using the first two bytes of the code as the tail end of address and the last two as a port number (66.45.270.01:2000)
and as above converted from hex (66.45.246.01:3200)

All came up empty.

thought

Hrm, I guess my argument against these just being id numbers is gone now, since they all look alike. Huh. But I just had a thought- what is the time and date stamp on your emails? Maybe we can put them in order.

Mine is:
Agent Code: 70337000
Time Stamp: Mon 11/01/04 08:18 PM

I guess I got the error field code too. It showed on the screen as
"http://66.45.2 at the end of the little movie, but I could dragged the cursor over it and this is what is there

Hope they send the right one Laughing

I tried too. The picture is a 1 pixel by 1 pixel web bug, but my zone alarm
firewall blocks those, so i guess thats why i didn't get a real field agent code. Sad

agent codes

These are all the codes I've found through 11/2 on both forums:

40057000
19381000
95045000
45376000
70337000
70012000
69878000
70337000
35017000

So the only consistency that I see so far is the addition of three zeros at the end of each. We've ruled out the IP address by now. I don't think they can be a puzzle since there's no way to know how many there are or are meant to be. Or even if everyone who receives one, posts it to the forum. I think these codes are just what we're told they are: reference numbers for when we contact the tipline at norbac.
[edit: added new code number]

What did you guys type exactly in the emails to get those field agent codes...
I sent one a couple of days ago, but didn't get anything back, either because I suck, or am impatient.

I would like to know as well Kenko Smile In other news I got this from Sciencesucker that may help out some people -

Quote:
There has been so much commotion over at ScienceSucks.com lately that I thought it would be a good idea to send you a quick update.

Rumours have been flying around now that Hazmat City is no longer in the news every day. Ivan's set up a website about it all over at www.mirandavirus.ca and convinced me to create a special section just for his investigation. The entire ScienceSucks gang wish him luck with the ongoing hunt, and he's already been successful in finding a weblog that's too good to be true, but we're trying to keep it under wraps so I won't just send out the address in a mass email!

Agent J made a big discovery this past Monday when he finally found a use for the NorBAC tipline! We have been flooding the tipline with information - some true, some not so true Smile - but this time we hit paydirt. Check out the Second Coming website at www.secondcoming.ca and look really hard at the photos.

We're still trying to figure out what 'Field Agent Status' gives us over at NorBAC aside from an 8-digit code, but the search continues! Speaking of which, one of Ivan's investigative team seems to have turned up something pretty exciting again. Check it out at www.sciencesucks.com/talk

I just got my code tonight after reading the sciencesucks forum, I sent out an email that said
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I visited http://www.secondcoming.ca/praiseJesus.html and saw the picture of reverand walsh and the trigger man named Jacob Malley.

In the body of the email and had tip as the subject.

Make sure you send in the tip with the email address you registered with.
