As for the Windmill Diaries, I believe (I just googled it, so this may be a little off), it was a gamejack that a lot of people thought was real.
Yeah, basically from the time Jay passed out on the night enttry 37 was uploaded to his next tweet days later saying he was fine, everyone was thinking he was dead, or out, or something, and Windmill Diaries came a-gamejackin' along in all its bad-grammar having, windmill stock footage using glory. It also inspired the parody gamejack, Plumbing.

I started watching in Season 3, so I don't have any nostalgia towards season 1 or 2.

You really should, there BRILLIANT (and provide plenty of context for what's going on in season three)

I think he means he started watching MH when it was in Season 3, and didn't actually start watching right from Entry #53 or something.

Favorite memories? Well i started at the beginning of season 2. Like I discovered the series a week or so before it started. The immense hype at the start of season 2 was amazing.
I miss all the wild theories that were just facepalmable people used to come up with before trosephim were more open with the fanbase.
The unmasking of masky was also an epic, epic night.
My favorite thing not really related to the series but more of an unfiction community deal was our first sync tube marathon right before the end of season 2. Someone else suggested it, me and pravado hosted it. The pre-show was awesome, with just random videos. Then it went by so smoothly, intermissions and all. Was just the first time I saw so many of us get along, even with pravado in the room.

Speaking of which, this community does seem to be a great deal smaller then it used to be. Where did everyone go?

I think all of those people just lost interest. MH has gone on for 4(?) years now, and it's hard to keep people excited for something that long. That's why most of the people here right now started around season 2 or 3. As for myself, I started at Entry #55.

I started pretty late: Entry #72 was the first one I actually had to wait for.
The moments that stand out for me? So far:
Entry #18 - Masky charge!!1!
Entry #19 - I'm in ur house, watchin you sleep!
Entry #33- As we watch Jay frantically throw those tapes into his bag so he can GTFO, and then, just over his shoulder, we see that hand wrap around the door one finger at a time...
An honorable mention goes to Alex literally face palming at Jay's message that he was going into the woods by himself.

I came in around August 2010, midway between season one and two.
Some fond memories are when Entry #27 was released for the start of season two. I remember seeing it in my subscription feed and getting really amped. Mostly because it was so unexpected to me and I wasn't 100% sure there was going to be more after Entry #26.
A lot of season one stuff is memorable to me, mostly. Entry #1 got me hooked right away with the whole mysterious figure outside and the head turn. Entry #11 was always really creepy with the shadow going by at the end. Then Entry #18 with Masky running at Jay.

Yeah I see the old familiar faces pop up once in a blue moon. Also on the other boards here I've run into a few. Lot's of the people who got in early thought this was going to be an ARG, which it turned out not to be. It's not that they don't watch it, the speculation/involvement with marble hornets just isn't the same as a true ARG so they go elsewhere for that kind of thing.
