once when i lived near Boston my friends and I saw a guy dressed like Benjamin Franklin sitting on the stoop of a coffee shop at like 2am. then he walked down the alley next to the shop and we never saw him again. since that day we have considered that alley way to be a time portal. :p
but more likely he was one of the minute men that are on the sidelines for Patriots games.

Football game or not....
That is awesome! One of those surreal moments that can stick with a person. Now you have me all excited hoping the first drop is some 40's spy

If I can find even half a reason to run around dressed as a 40's spy, I will do it, fedora and all. Haha, man I love that classic style

Bah who needs a reason Nighthawk!
Bring back the classic look, maybe you'll make it a thing again. That and fedoras are just cool in general.

Drops? Are the drop coordinates going to be announced on 7/27 via the phone message, or did I misinterpret that? Does anyone know the time? I'm in the SF area and will try to retrieve package if I can figure out where to go.

We're still waiting to see if we get any further information about the drop but I have a sneaking suspicion we may not get it today.
Hopefully it's at ARGFest but where.

I have been obsessing a bit over the doodad thing trying to figure out what it does. Was bouncing this off my friend who knows a little more about electronics than I do.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We think it's a remote control of some sort due to the wavy design on the back, it has a resonator, and the led at top is probably an IR bulb. What this is a remote for... that is the question.

That's interesting Aesculapius. And brings up quite a bit of pondering to say the least.
I'm still hoping that the drop info comes before 3EST tomorrow or I'll not be able to help until Sunday. :/

We're both wondering about the scratching on the front. I can't imagine its part of a puzzle. Maybe the contents of the case have been through something.

Well if the briefcase went through an anomoly that would make some since. But it could have also been damaged in shipping.

that type of scratching doesnt happen in shipping. it would have had to have been done purposely.
and yes it looked like a remote control to me. i just hope that is meant to be and they didnt just gut a remote cause they needed something electronic looking for a prop.

The latest update makes it sound like we should call the phone number which will tell the location of the drop. It sounds like only one city to start with, with the other cities to follow
Quote:
nurseshane asked: space, specifically. but that could also indicate time. not sure if the obverse would be true. yet.
In a few short hours (though to say an hour could be short as opposed to long is quite ridiculous, is it not?) the fragment will cross over in to what we perceive as reality.
It will happen at the location revealed via the telephone message, and only there. But with time, fifteen other fragments will make their way here as well, each to a distinct location.
I hope that answers your question
