are we over looking the obvious here? could the next drop be at the address he gives in the recording?
I'm wondering the same thing, but don't know anyone who owes me favors in London

seems we shouldnt be too picky about asking thing on tumblr.
enaxor asked: Thanks for the prompt answer. I guess it was so obvious I missed it. Sometimes I need a swift kick to the head to see the forest. Any news yet on fragment #2?
There's no need for violence, my friend. The message via telephone was updated, yes? The system is designed to be somewhat covert in delivering its messages, you see. In fact, they will likely increase in difficulty.
The location is certainly in the recording. However, if the operative side of things fails, the other half will be delivered to me shortly. It will be more difficult without both halves, of course.
so it seems the phone message is to be deciphered. maybe that list isnt just an alphabet?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In addition, if the NATO system is being used, expect the digit 3 to be pronounced "tree"; 4 to be pronounced "fo-wer" to distinguish from "for", 5 to be pronounced "fife" so it won't be confused with "fire"; and 9 to be pronounced "niner", to keep it distinct from "nein", German for "no" (as well as from "five," as the two are indistinguishable otherwise over a distorted signal).
little snippet I found about why we may have trouble understanding some of the words

Found something in the sound file. I'm still fiddling with it as I have zero clue what i"m doing. However the "motorcycle" noises, seem to be a second voice.
I sped up the original sound and could hear what sounds like a voice, but unfortunately I haven't yet figured out how to get rid of the squeaking of the computer voice, so I can't understand what it's saying.

This is as best as I could get, if you listen very carefully you can hear the voice in the squeaking.

its hard for me to tell in that. i wish i knew how we could remove the voice from the call. i know you can do it with a stereo file but we dont have that.
EDIT: on a second listen it does sound like a voice in the background. what speed did you have it set at to get that?

No clue. I was playing with Audacity and just messing with sliders.

Yeah playing with it in audacity too. Wish I knew how to remove the louder voice. At least one of the words sounds like a "zero" I think.

Try playing with the bass boost in Audacity. I can almost make out some of the numbers.

That's the problem I'm having Aesculapius. I can get the voice sped up and loud but then the screaching is so loud it drowns out the sound.
The one I posted Enaxor had the base messed with. If I turn the bass up real high it makes the screaching loud so I had to drop it way low.
Oh and I think the speed I set it at was like 300% of normal.

Yeah, the speed has to be somewhere in that neighborhood. Just have no idea how to get it in "focus".

there is a way to make a mono track and turn it into a stereo track. there is also a way to take a stereo track and remove the "lyrics" from it. i dont know if this will work but i might give it a shot when i get home.
ok nvm i checked the audacity forums and it wont work. its like i figured. it had to be recorded in stereo.
