No, I think we all have to fill these applications, because this is how we apply for the Trials. Through these applications they are also learning more about us.
No im pretty sure we dont need to re apply if we have already picked a flower.
reasoning for this is the tweet that says
nouncer 1h
http://theguardtrials.wordpress.com Applications will be open for fourteen days. After that, the Trials will begin! Best of luck to all you mortals.
which seems to imply that once they have chosen who gets in the trials will start...
so i dont think the applications are for trials... just to apply to join..
also they are asking for flower names and we already have those, i dont see why they would need us to pick again
I sent a tweet to the court announcer to clarify but as far as im aware we dont need to re apply if we are already members.
I was one of the original 5 and then others were recommended. So i think everyone who already has a flower and has been in contact with them need not fill out the form.
Also says at the top of the page application for entry and as far as im aware if you have a flower name and they have been in contact then your already entered... lol

I think your right. i think the recommendation replaces the need for the application. although it does make me wonder why they would want everyone else to answer those questions and not us.

Well they came to me for help in the first place LOL
could just be going with the game... maybe they needed more that just one question to call it an aplication form LOL
Also given that the flower name was a pre trial for already members suggests that those with flower names already are members. So i dont think we need to fill in

Clarification I tried posting this the other day but for some reason my PC wouldn't let me.
Had e-mail correspondence with in.defense.of.summer about a week ago:
Me:
One e-mail you sent mentioned that applications would open on August 1st - are those applications the same as this, or will there be a second round of application for those who are recommended?
Defense:
The applications will be open on the 1st.
These recommendations are a simple way to get the applicants to start working together and communicating with each other. Not applications.
The applications will let us learn more about you.
-W.R.
So looks like we all have to do it.
I'm going to do it now, and take Iris officially off the market!

ok i glad to get that cleared up, but it was kind of weird to have us choose names through twitter if someone else could have taken it when applications opened.
and what was the point of the recommendations if we have to apply? does the recommendation guarantee our application will be accepted?
this seems poorly planned.

I think the recommendations are a guaranteed acceptance. But this will give them more informaiton about us, so it's not a real application for us.
As to why do it early, to begin the team building process and get the excitement going its my guess.

Yeah im in agreement with that lobo seems slightly poor planning there to me...
Im gonna hang off on applying just to see what they say, because like you it doesnt make sense to me to have to do all this then re apply and not be guarenteed a space anyways...
so what about the people who recieved the original trailhead? do we still need to apply? if they contacted us?
sighs

I am a little worried about one thing. I have a huge amount of knowledge about mythical Fae. Something I was researching for a novel I was writing, among being a general point of interest to me.
I hope that doesn't mean they don't want me to play because I could ruin things or know too much LOL

Well, I'm worried that because I barely know anything about them that I don't get to play
And good that things cleared up.

Dropped mine in. I think I went a little over board on "general fae knowledge" LOL But heck.
I doubt they will outright deny people, but who knows. Either way this should be fun

I submitted mine as well.
I don't really know much about Fey, and almost everything I know about Fey is from D&D;;
The hardest part for me was trying to decided my favorite Grimm tale!
I was reading through the rules and it stated that there are only 7 slots open for the guard and we would be ranked with each trial and the highest ranking 7 at the end would join the guard and the others could have a place in the court if the wanted one. So I think everyone's fine until the trials officially start.
