The bucket of soapy water in 30 below windy weather on top of a parking lot is available to ANYONE who doesn't like the alternatives Twisted Evil

Edit: Only applies to those who smell as though they have been dipped head first into the bog of eternal stench. Wink

I take 2 showers a day (I like being clean ...), so I'm not too worried about being thrown into a sea of novelty soaps and candles...

Also, everything in that store makes me sneeze... Everything.

Dang it...

I'm not too sure I can come anymore. Not only will I smell, I won't have the opprotunity to be 'tricked' into entering VS. Man, what a dissapointing trip this is going to be... Wink

Amusing anecdote about B&BW:

My wife and I went into the local mall last Saturday to check out prospective birthday and Christmas gifts. As a matter of course, she beelined for ye old Bath and Body Works. The cordial employee on greeting duty asked us how we were doing, and I responded with a high-five (sidenote, are you doing your civic duty to bring back the hi-5?). She asked if we were looking for anything special.

I gave her a deadpan look and said, "Actually, yes! I was wondering if you had anything that smelled fragrantly?"

She gave us a sort of deer-in-headlights look for a second, and my wife tugged at my arm as if to say, "Shut up, Jeremy!"

The question really did catch the poor girl off guard, and she stammered for a moment. "You know, something that smells nice? I have been looking for...say, a cream or lotion that had some sort of smell to it?"
The greeter really was vexed by my request, but all I was trying to do was make her job much easier! After all, there couldn't have been any more than three items in the entire store that didn't smell like something!

She proceeded to lead us to the second section of the store, where she offered me a finely-crafted aromatherapy sleeping mask. I opened the package and took a deep whiff of the scent within.

Nothing.

At this point I lost it and let out a prolonged belly laugh. I didn't know what to say! Once I calmed down I managed to say, "Thank you for your help. I think we'll just browse around from here."
Priceless.

edit:
Oops, I forgot the reason I was posting!

Ok, I'm a late comer to the event, since I was excused from jury duty now (they don't need me) and my Thursday class got cancelled.
What's going on, then? Do I understand correctly that the whole shebang starts at 9:00 PM Indiana time and goes to midnight (EST)?

I am still confuzzled by DST, but I think I understand correctly from skilletaudio that Chicago is on CST (-2 from axon listings), right?

Lessee...the mall has both a GameWorks and a Lowes theater...which is it at? Do we just report to the box office (Lowes) or host/hostess (GameWorks)?

I'm coming in from Fort Wayne, IN...should I answer the axons before I leave? On sunday there was a new guy at the axon, and he might get it if I don't, but he's fairly new at this and I'm unsure if he'd definitely get it Confused What do you all think?

This thread has gotten to be really long and hard to get the info on. Maybe someone should edit a post on the first page? (Oh yeah, and before I forget, what's up with DorkMaster? Is he still playing? I remember he was from Chi-town)

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with the Victoria's Secret Comment. I was just trying to be humorous.

I stayed up all night to watch the election and had to wake up at 5. When I read this I was busting up. Way better than coffee! BTW, I love the wife reaction- it must be a universal thing. I might have to give this riot act a try this christmas.

An update from Microsoft this morning has provided detailed intel on what gamers can expect. Calling it "a culmination to the Halo 2 I Love Bees program," a Microsoft spokesperson told GameSpot that "Bee Keepers" will be "guided to four locations across the country for a special event."

"Upon arrival," we were told, "the Bee Keepers will find their way to a theater where they will receive a special commemorative DVD (and a collector's lanyard) as well as a special chapter of the ILB game specifically created for the event." Did you just read that? It's ok!?! you can do a doubletake.

Microsoft said those in attendance "will have a chance to be among the first in the world to have hands-on play with the final version of Halo 2 multiplayer." Awesome!?! My prayers have been Answered. Thank you Bungie/Microsoft

Do you think each event will have a diffrent chapter (and have to put it together with the other cities) or we will all get the same chapter of the story.

That's cool.

How about "All your bees are belong to us"?

I'm sure that's been done already.

Girls, we owe a debt to Angelo for all the great coordination he has done. Who is up for parading around in skimpy clothing for him? We will just have to make for sure my boyfriend is occupied with something. I know, someone bring a lava lamp!
