Just seen it!

- Oh my God, entry #3 call callback! But...whose...? Tim...?
- TIM MIGHT BE LIKE ALEX Troseph screams out to us.
- Oh my God, Introduction callback.
- Those windscreen wipers. NEVER SLEEP AGAIN. (It seems that horror has messed up my, the air conditioning at my local TAFE sounds exactly like the Slient Hill static. I'm so productive there Sad)
- JAY IS OUT AND COMPLETLY OUT OF IT LIKE ENTRY #23.
- Oh my God, the season one nostalgia.
- "I've been sharing my medication with you." Oh, Tim, I know you kind of socially inept, but DEAR GOD MAN, maybe when Jay just finally gets back to conciousness, it might not be a good idea.
- Jay's reaction - perfect. NOTHING COULD GO WRONG WITH SOMEONE GIVING YOU MEDICATION THAT WASN'T PRESCRIBED FOR YOU.
- Oh my God, the bed...Tim being in Jay's room - Entry #18 callback.
-Not sure about the whole Alex being in Tim's house thing and living in his attic. It's a bit 'naff and silly. What are you, a dog, Alex? Really?
- But then the possibility of Amy being trapped up there freaks the hell out of me.
- Hoody, stealing a mentally ill man's medication, classy. COULD YOU BE ANYMORE OF A TROLL?
- "Oh, let's go there where one dangerous madman currently lives and one pops in from time to time. NOTHING COULD GO WRONG HERE."
- Guys, look at your lives, LOOK AT YOUR CHOICES.
- "It's my house." Guys, c'mon, what is this a pissing contest?
- NOTHING GOOD CAN COME FROM THIS.

Liked this entry. I tend to like these shorter ones because although it doesn't add huge amounts to the plot, (though this one did add some things, and clear up some speculation too), it did add a touch of humanity to the characters. When we see them eating beef jerky, and talking things through with each other, it makes them more human and makes it easier to actually care about them again. So I'm cool with that.

People mentioning why Tim didn't tell Jay about the tape - I also don't understand why Hoody didn't take it and upload it himself if he thinks there's something important enough to call somebody a liar over it...But that can be discussed elsewhere.

So yeah, good entry. Plot given direction for the future, some speculation cleared up, and over all, good characterisation.

I would like to emphasize the change of cameraman and interrogator to Tim. I think part of Jay's reaction is shame... He has fallen from grace in full view of the internet/viewers. Youtube and Twitter exist in game. I think he's "being a dick" because he's humiliated and thus trying to be defensive. And if he really doesn't remember and hasn't seen the footage from 72 or 73, he's totally disoriented and basically anyone would be defensive in that situation... Which makes me think back to Entry 49, that's the "Bruce" murder right? Alex maybe didn't even remember where he was, why he had come there, even in the moment... He was technically very close to a source of the SlenndyEMP affect that we're settling on (through evidence of pills, distortion, memory loss), so maybe when TO is near they panic because they can't even remember where they are or why they came there. Remember Hoody and Tim luring Alex to the woods, and then fleeing once they had him pinned? Or 68 where they had a gun to his head? TO appears and they flee despite having apparent time to finish him first.

This also perhaps explains why they keep returning to the dangerous zones.... They have no memory of what happened, but are aware SOMETHING happened and the lack of remembering slowly but surely drives them mad. TO doesn't do anything but appear, the boys then go nuts and do wild shit. This explains that, and why they all just keep ending up wanting to go into bad situations. They all want answers.

Maybe Alex bonked Tim and Brian because he thought the other had lured him into a trap, while Tim and Brian assumed Alex led them to a trap... When really, the arrival of TO just causes panic that over time causes the paranoia. Obviously the footage we have only further fuels the speculated motives based on RANDOM GLIMPSES that we see, completely out of order. This also explains Entry 22, where he genuinely is left with only Seth, no idea what's going on, and only one place to go for answers. When TO appears and Alex can't remember why he's in the basement with Seth, he bonks him, grabs the tape and bails. Later, has no idea what happened. Not unlikely, remember Jay grabbed Alex's door key on instinct when fleeing TO in 46.

Now that Tim is filming Jay instead of the other way around, and now that they've established that those under influence of the pills can keep their wits about them in the presense of TO, this next encounter involving possibly EVERY major survivng character in the series will be an EXTREMELY interesting, scary, plot driven Entry.

This has to be one of the best explanations about the Marble Hornets fliming incidents I have ever seen. Very Happy

Hoody's "masky" state being totheark makes an immense amount of sense honestly. Would explain why some of the totheark videos look like they're made by different people. Hoody and totheark both seem to be the most informed about everything going on. Maybe hoody is half aware of his "masky" state, allowing him to remember all of the shenanigans he got into?

Aram, as far as not mentioning the operators name goes, I think it's more the fact they don't know what to call it. Their main mission has never been to "hunt down that thing" it's always been find Alex, find Jessica, find Amy, find Tim. At this point they've discussed the masked deal and the pills because that's currently what they're working on. I think maybe, in the final act, they'll focus on the big creepy faceless guy problem. Maybe they'll go back through totheark videos and figure out he's called the operator, and figure out all the clues as to what he does.

I picture the confrontation at the house (most likely) next entry as a stand-off with everyone pointing guns at each other in Tim's living room. Masky somehow mentions/points Jay to the tape, Jay flips out at Tim for being a liar then turns into his "masky" state. Tim ends up saving the day by shoving pills down his throat. In the scuffle masky gets his mask removed, and a new ally is made, but he's a "not really sure who's side he's on" kinda ally.

Sounds pretty good. Smile

Does it bother anyone other than me that this episode kind of falls into a "before I kill you, Mr. Bond" moment? I mean, you're being stalked, and people are hacking your YouTube and Twitter accounts and CLEARLY following your every move, but you're okay with discussing your plans on tape and then posting it up?

"We're going back to my house," says Tim, and somewhere, sitting in front of a computer and watching YouTube, Alex and TO look at each other and smile (even though TO has no actual smile, it's kind of a metaphorical grin, you see) because now they can be all ready.

Whaaaa?

What would really impress me is if the lads used this hop-skip of logic and made it so that this open discussion was actually planned to lure Alex into the open. That would have some clever on it.

It's supposed to be in real-time. Realistically, it makes sense. It wouldn't be a believable story if shit were happening every week, and though it may seem slow-paced to those of us watching it in real-time, if you were to marathon all the entries at once it's actually good pacing.

Back to the general discussion. I liked this entry. Yeah, not a lot happened. But I don't understand why people expect (figurative) explosions of action in every episode. Story > action, always, no matter how slow the pacing needs to be (and, again, I agree with their pacing here. They're slowing down temporarily to gear up for something big to happen soon). And besides, last time we were complaining about how our questions weren't being answered. Well, they answered some pretty important ones here! Will we never be happy with what they give us?

And some pretty important things are happening beneath the surface. For example:

1) Confirmation that Tim and Jay are switching roles
2) Jay's more combative personality (agree with Sha Noran on this)
3) Confirmation that Alex was in the window
4) That gives us a clue that the "LIAR" tape belongs to Alex.
5) Also sets up for some crazy shit to happen in #75, for all you action junkies! Wink

I'm a bit worried with their decision to go so soon, though. Jay's clearly still out of it; he could put the entire operation in danger. The two really need somebody else to help them. I'm thinking maybe that's why Tim decided to post their decision to confront Alex on YouTube—maybe he's hoping Hoody will team up with them.

If this is all going on in real-time, and Tim and Jay have decided to make their trek to Tim's house so soon, I wonder when #75 will get put up. It may not be as long a wait as you think...and if it is, I won't care. I'm more than happy to wait so that they can do it right. After all, MH isn't my whole life. And I know it isn't theirs either. Smile

Not necessarily. It is Tim's wooden drawer/box that the tape was found in, it very well could be Tim's. Also, Tim never mentioned the existence of the tape to Jay in the motel.
One other noteworthy thing is that the "LIAR" text that appeared over the discovery of the tape harkens back to the big "LIAR" message left on the wall in the old hospital that Tim hit angrily with the metal stick. I think Hoody calls Tim a liar constantly and it really gets to Tim...perhaps because it's true? What exactly that message means, however, is still yet to be 100% disclosed.

Absolutely terrible. They can't write an interesting script worth a damn anymore. They are simply not putting enough effort into this series anymore.

Man what are you even talking about Razz

Nothing past this point, cause this dogshit entry gave us nothing to talk about.

Someone fused with pravado Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

No, I didn't like this entry to be honest, it is really filler in my opinion but it did answer some questions as to who was in the window, and whose house it was. It also reinforced the importance of the pills, which I have a feeling is going to be a point of major conflict later. Lastly, did anyone else catch that Tim said "uploaded by THAT GUY in the hoodie". I know we heavily speculated Hoody was male, and the few entries where he filmed himself were pretty blatant in showing the gender, but anyone else think this was to make it 100% confirmed Hoody is a male?

I think Tim called Hoody a "him" in Entry #66 also.

I didn't catch that in 66, but thanks. I'll go back and watch that to see.

You are wrong. Realistically this entry could have been posted a fucking week after.

I never said that. I implied that this was really a lazy entry made in an afternoon. This didn't deserve a month long wait.

Hm...I still have to disagree with that. First off, it took a while for Tim to even notice #73, which adds to the gap. Second, he may have been waiting for Jay to improve a little before he had that conversation with him. He even said that this was the most coherent Jay has been since the events of #72, in which case talking to him/uploading it as an entry would have been useless before now because Jay would have been completely out of it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OOG, I also understand month-long waits because I have no idea what's going on in their lives. I'm thinking they probably have other jobs, the upcoming movie (I don't know how much involvement they have in it, but it could very well be time-consuming), and of course their own personal lives as well. I've never tried to do a web series like this, so I don't feel I have the right to judge them here.

And even if it seems a bit unrealistic or irritating, I don't think it's worth getting this upset about. Life's too short. Smile

I know what you mean. The best entries take more time because of timing and sudden script changes and what not. This seemed like a pretty simple entry to shoot.

I think their only justification to this will be if they upload them going to Tims place later today/this week to show that they did more work than just planning for a month to talk for 5 mintues.
