It wasn't name calling, we're just stating that's how it's coming across.

And trust me I know how text based communication has its problems, we're just letting you know that the wording could be better. That way the PM doesn't take it the wrong way either.

That to me seems like a dangerous move... the whole waiting 21 days to start...

There is every chance this will get burried on the boards... and most likely players will lose interest until it crops up again..

I hope the Pm continues this and wish them/ him/ her every success with it...

just cant help but feel thats a very very very long time to wait..
might even suggest they dont have fixed plans in place? who knows..

fingers crossed

It's almost as bad as the Pronunciation Book wait. Almost.

But, yeah, I do not understand the use of long countdowns at all in ARGs. If you're not ready to start then wait. If you're trying to drum up more people to follow your game then you should keep going and people will join when they realize it's an active ARG with a PM who has a plan and knows what s/he is doing.

At least give us a puzzle that is too difficult to complete yet to keep us busy...

Yeah I have a sneaky suspicion that unless something is done soon, the wait is going to kill this one.

Chosen flower: Crocus
Email: rad24SPLATaol.com
Reason for this flower: Apparently meaning "foresight," which is something I actually pride myself on having in most situations (wow, maybe I should've chosen Narcissus, right? Very Happy). The flower itself is one of the most subtly beautiful I've seen, the way its color fades as it reaches the center holds an important symbolism for me.
Other contact methods:
What are your religious/spiritual beliefs, if any?: I personally do not believe in any sort of God(s), but I wouldn't consider myself an atheist; my beliefs are more along the lines of, not having much, if anything, to do with how I live my life. It might sound ignorant, but the best way I can put it is, "I don't care."
Summarize your current knowledge of the Fair Folk: what they are, the various types (if any) of Courts, the various races/cultural interpretations of the Fey that you subscribe to: While descriptions of the Fae and their society widely vary in detail, one thing is certain: they are the original inhabitants of this world. However, they came from another plane, one of what we mortals call "magic," and some of this aspect was brought with them. I know of the Summer and Winter courts, with the Summer (Seelie) standing for rebirth, life, and the cyclical nature of things while the Winter (Unseelie) is of a typically darker persuasion, dealing in strife, death, but also survival. As for the types of Fae themselves, I posses generally little knowledge, aside from the "elvish" aspect of the court rulers and the more bestial Fae such as the mischevious boggarts, lupine barghests, deceptive kobolds and the dreaded Niskaru (though it is debated whether they are actually Fae or merely a personification of the dark magic which can be employed by them), among others.
Where did you learn this?: A video game, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Favorite Grimm tale?: The Shoemaker and the Elves
Why this tale?: I've always loved how inexplicably helpful the elves are, and at once, they are gone. They enter the shoemaker's life seeming to be a godsend but in fact are just a fleeting illusion of success. Says a lot about life, don't you agree?
Have you ever been Christened or Baptized?: Neither
Do you have any wards against the Fey in your house that would be a detrement to your experiance in the Trials?: No
Any previous contact with any race of Fey?: Not that I know of.
Do you agree to and understand the rules of the Guard Trials?: Yes

This looks to be the most interesting game on uF right now, although the wait is a bit off-putting.

Certain plans are in place, set in action come dark moon. These...plans...mean we will be closing applications to allow us to progress.

We apologize for the sudden change of date. We will be working with what mortals we currently have and no more.

Guess they realized making us wait was bad LOL Or they didn't get as many applications as they wanted. Either way... let the games begin!

I think Trial 1 has begun: http://theguardtrials.wordpress.com/2013/08/06/trial-1-2/

So...we're supposed to work together, but not share our answers? That's what I got out of it anyway. Only question is, what numbers are we assigning? I noticed the first and last lines of the first verse under 001b rhyme, while the rest have second and last lines rhyming.

Well they never said it was going to be easy, but yeesh.

Not only are we supposed to work together but keep each other in the dark, we are also not told what numbers.

Hurm.
