Anyways, I'm intrigued that she knows what the book is saying.

I'm going to posit a different theory. The Black Dog is known as a "keeper of secrets" and perhaps it's Story's connection to it that makes her able to read the book. (There have been a couple stories of people becoming "servants" of the Black Dog and keepers of secrets in turn, so perhaps that's what's going on with Story. I don't know.)

Anyways, the talk of the Other World also makes me think of the "Fourth World" in Dark Harvest. Don't know if they intend to make a connection or not, but there does seem to be an underlying theme of alternate eldritch dimensions in the Fear mythos.

I thought of the Little Mermaid tbh. How she becomes a human to fall in love with the guy or whatever. It's been a while since I've seen it/played Kinhdom Hearts

 		I'm not quite sure where this new information sits, but I'm sure the next entry will provide further indication. Story also said she thinks "there might be something I have to do, really soon".

Questions:
What does she have to do?
Why does it have to be soon? (due to urgency/impending danger or external influence)
Why is Story able to read the book while Mo and Lee can't, despite both encountering horrors? Is it something to do with the Black Dog in particular, because only Story saw it?
What are the implications for the mermaid story?

Also, I think her name has more significance than I originally guessed. The connection to her literacy of all these languages as well as the mermaid story seem to place emphasis on it.

 		So, Story can most definitely read the book, and it looks like the cult is directly involved with the various baddies showing up.

Looks like Story got sent home at the end?

It seems more likely that one or both of her parents would have been the "mermaid" originally, then, but that doesn't make sense; why would they have sent her to the hospital if they were already involved with supernatural shenanigans?

(I'd just like to note at this point that the original Little Mermaid didn't end as well for the titular character as the Disney version.)

And there's a new Whispered Faith video up. The boys got sent (to their) home, too.
