Oh yeah, I'm dying to see that tape, I have a feeling it's Masky doing something really bad. But Masky=/=Tim. I get the feeling there's an excellent reason Tim has been so keen to avoid becoming the masked man again, and the reason is on that tape.

Tim is not a villain, as you do not make something like the end of Entry #72 and then later say "actually he was faking it, he's the bad guy". It removes all emotional impact. If he is hiding something, it's nothing that makes him bad. To be honest, it became impossible for Tim to be a well-written villain the moment Entry #59 was released. The guy's too good at making you sympathise with him and all that would be undone if he was the baddy.

So as for whether I trust him, well right now there are two main things that bring his reliability into question - his insistence on what pocket to put the pages into and the tape found in his house. If the pocket thing means anything, Tim was probably hiding something with good intentions. I strongly doubt Tim will remember anything that was on the tape in his house, if he's even on it. It could easily be incriminating for Jay instead. I do trust Tim and if he is hiding something then it's for Jay's benefit.

I agree here, but it's quite possible that hiding something for "Jay's benefit" could actually really just be for Tim's benefit... For example, if Tim's biggest lie is that all along, he's remembered his actions as Masky (even partially), then he could know Jessica's fate. Hiding her fate from Jay is a bro thing to do if Jay really does care for her and if she's really doomed, but this actually could mostly benefit Tim, particularly since A) he might have been the one to doom her and B) his hiding her fate from Jay has kept him motivated to continue helping Tim, as Jay has stated that finding her is pretty much the only reason he's still in the game.

Put simply, I trust Tim and I think he's a good guy, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be hiding something dark that will blur the line between good and evil, which has basically been a running theme for all the characters. Is Alex a victim or a villain? Probably both. Is Jay an unreliable narrator? Yes, but perhaps unintentionally. Whose side is Hoody on? His own side. Is Tim a liar? Probably, but perhaps unintentionally. As it sits now, TO has done a great job of turning people who were once pretty good friends into distrusting, paranoid psychotics living life on the run as hermits mostly due to fear of each other moreso than fear of TO.

Entry 74 makes me retract my earlier statement and now, yeah, I trust Tim.

A Tim is a whole bunch of fields of boolean values that are always true such as

Code:

public static final boolean sideburns;
public static final boolean hero;
public static final boolean idol;

public Tim(){
           sideburns=true;
           hero=true;
           idol=true;
}

pretty much that

I'm sorry, every time I see the title of this thread at the top of the page all my mind does is go straight to that one scene in Marathon Man...

NEW REVALATION

I trust Tim but it his is all definitley his fault. TO followed Tim around since he was a child in The Rosswood town. When Alex met Tim through Brian, Alex started to be followed by the operator. The best evidence for this would be entries 12, 17, and 20. I think entry 20 explains why Alex began to be stalked the most. Alex is behaving normally so we can assume he hasn't encountered TO yet. Tim walks in and is displaying advanced signs of slender sickness, we can assume he had an encounter on his way over. Tim then takes his pills which we recently found out wards of TO. TO needed someone to stalk ,and since he couldn't stalk Tim as much as he use to due to the pills, he turned his sights on the MHs crew especially alex. TO probally saw them while following TIm all the way to college town. Tim even admits its his fault in entry 66 at the hospital, although in all reality it was just a mistake.

True. But what about "enttry 37"? It would appear Alex has a history with TO too. Not saying it's entirely his fault, but I'm not sure it's entirely Tim's either.

I'm starting to agree with the theory that enttry 37 was more of a threat. Also it could be a warning from tta that Alex has been corrupted by TO.

I still trust him. For now. Although I admit it's mainly because I have trouble believing they'd make Tim the villain after not only working so hard to make us like him, but priming us to accept him as the new lead protagonist.
