I think it would be cool if we all met up somewhere. I would be fine meeting up at the place you suggested rose. Or we could even just meet in front of the theater and then walk down to the restaurant. Whatever works.

What if we meet up in front of the theater @ 6:30 and then from there we can head over to a restaurant from there. Just to distinguish myself from the crowd....i'll be wearing something ilovebees-ish.

I think meeting by the theatre is good idea. There's got to be a place to grab some pizza near by and maybe a beer. I should also be arriving by 6:30.

If anyone's meeting Siege and I at 6:30 to walk over, look for this.

White, unshaven. I'm 18.
I'll be wearing blue jeans and a black jacket, sleeves rolled up, with a silver stripe across the center.
On the front, you may or may not see a familiar symbol shining through, a t-shirt depicting a white fist raised, clutching two thunderbolts. Yes. You heard right. The Seven7h Column T-shirt.
I will ALSO be sporting an ID badge that says ILB.

Meeting Up

Hey,

Looks like people all seem to be making different plans.. But I'd just like to throw out there that Digitallyl33t and I have been trying to setup a meeting place.

We're going to meet at 6:30 at the corner of 34th and 7th Right Outside Penn Station, at the top of the big staircase there. We're then going to walk down to 2nd street. We just thought it'd be cool if a whole group of us all met up and walked down together.. Anyone who wants to join us is more than welcome.

If you'd like, email me at SkycamefallingSPLATgmail.com and I can give you my cell # just to coordinate and make sure we all find each other and don't leave anyone behind. You can also email me just to let us know you'll be joining us.

Hope to see everyone there

-Siege

An update from Microsoft this morning has provided detailed intel on what gamers can expect. Calling it "a culmination to the Halo 2 I Love Bees program," a Microsoft spokesperson told GameSpot that "Bee Keepers" will be "guided to four locations across the country for a special event."

"Upon arrival," we were told, "the Bee Keepers will find their way to a theater where they will receive a special commemorative DVD (and a collector's lanyard) as well as a special chapter of the ILB game specifically created for the event." Did you just read that? It's ok!?! you can do a doubletake.

Microsoft said those in attendance "will have a chance to be among the first in the world to have hands-on play with the final version of Halo 2 multiplayer." Awesome!?! My prayers have been Answered. Thank you Bungie/Microsoft

I'm leaving south NJ by 4:30, so hopefully I'll be in the city and parked by 6:30. I'll try to meet up with folks, but traffic will determine everything.

me: 6', big beard, probably wearing some obscure band t-shirt, black hoody, some kinda pants. or just check me out in the link on my sig below. (I am just as out of focus in person as I am in the picture, I swear.)

For those who haven't seen the post about the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, they had a segment in which Rob Cordy was exit polling some Covenant aliens. It was pretty funny because he was playing HALO rather than following the election. Sorta like me.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can think of a way that we could get the Daily Show to come to the event tomorrow night (oh my god, I just said tomorrow night! That's freakin' awesome. I think I peed...just a little. Sorta like Frankie from the Bungie Updates)

If someone knows of a way to call the Daily Show...well I'd gladly make the call.

Sorry, I meant to put this in my last post, but i think the easiest way to meet up would be in front of the theater. Say, between 6 - 6:30. That way once we're there, it should be a little easier to find our way back to the theater. That and maybe we would be able to sign in early and avoid having to stand in line with everyone else. Because I'm sure there will be a (more than likely pretty long) line.

Once we sign in and get stamped, checked off, or given an ID (however they decide to remember that we've already been through the sign-in process), we can go and grab something to eat close by without having to worry about getting back to the theater on time.

This is, of course, depending if they'll actually let us leave the event and come back. Which I think they will, becuase if they won't I will be pissed (us smokers needs us the nicotine).
