What about the Story?

I know we all started watching this crazy ass show for the dough, but I want to know IF the show gets the axe (99% percent likely, but not yet official-just speculated) how are we going to find out about the rest of the show/story? We all knew we had a slim chance at the cash, but let's be realistic, odds are small to actually win it.

But I've been drawn into the story and what the hell it means....what's with Push? Are Jim and Mary Half Siblings? What's with Dawn and that freaky Grace? What's with the 9:15 sack romps? Is Silas really dead?

What I want to know is how or where can we find the answer's to all our questions ... are they going to let us know the remainder of the story somehow?

Personnally, I've just about had it with ABC...they pulled this crap with Mole 2 , and they've shot themselves in the ass again with Push...I don't get it...WHATEVER they put in that time slot is going to get murdered...and they're paying out the money anyway, so why not let the rest of the show air? What difference will it make? What ABC's actions translate out to me is that they don't give a damn about the viewers...so why should the viewers care about ABC? I know myself personally as well as probably 90% of those who watched invested a LOT of time going frame by frame on the pause/still button on the VCR remote until I thought it would fall off, to spending upteem hours on-line looking at all the web-sites, searching for little nuggets of information to solve not only the location of the money for the game element of the show, but to solve all the twists, mysteries and riddles that had become Push the show.

Well, NO MORE!!!

Fool me once ABC, shame on you....fool me twice ABC, shame on Me.

And like the Who said from that dreaded CSI Show on thursday- WHO ARE YOU (to screw the viewers once again?) and the CSI: Miami show on monday's - WE WON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN!!! (Well I know I won't be, and I'm more than sure that a lot of people will be pissed off and boycott ABC in the future) for why should we invest in a show just to have it pulled out from underneath us again?

Not me...not next time. No way.

Later ABC...you lost this viewer.

John

P.S.-They could of at least put it on ABC Family channel to let those of us that wanted to keep playing or at least find out the rest of the story would be able to have all those questions answered....but no...shit can the whole thing....morons....

Remind me, but didn't Affleck say there would be smaller story arcs within the 13 week series? Wasn't there supposed to be a mini-conclusion around the 8th episode? I don't know if scripts are written very far in advance, but i doubt they have any additional episodes filmed or in post-production past what they've said will be broadcast.

Anybody going to watch Dinotopia when it takes Push's time slot?

It would be *nice* if we got to see the end of the story...but come on, have you never watched a cancelled show before? This is how it works, sometimes you just don't get to know the rest. Life's unfair, and we must move on.

In a year, you will have a faint idea what the show was about if it was cancelled, but not much more. Our brains have no reason to store it in our memories, so they don't.

etc.

Annie's in Laura's bed, telling her that the good Dale is trapped in the Lodge.

Never liked her anyway. Dale should have learned from the whole Caroline experience that he should remain pure and save himself for me.
*grin*

As for Push, sure it'll be a shame to see it go, but since I don't need a car and already have a Sprint phone, my opinion hardly matters.

I blame Affleck. Is he to blame? Who really cares. Blame must be assessed, and his smirk and coiff are as good a scapegoat as any.

Perhaps Jim will next investigate the mysteries of Brew City - we've got an Alderwoman up on Federal fraud charges, and plenty of atmospheric bars.

"Milwaukee is a secret, Jim, and like most good secrets, it's not quickly told."

Naaah, doesn't have quite the same ring. Smile

Horrdly OT

I see how it is Ozy...
First you take GenCon from us, and now we can't even have poorly written mysterious dialogue? Can you not leave us with one shred of gaming goodness?!

Imagine Mssr. Prufrock sauntering into Al's Concertina Bar - not home of the Slo-dance, but the Polka, where Al not only plays the concertina at the bar for you, but he's a published writer of concertina music.

Or perhaps the spy-themed Safe House, with potables like the Spy's Demise. Will Jim discover the password? Or like so many others, will he be forced to perform a humiliating stunt, while patrons already inside watch on the Closed Circuit?

Perhaps he and Mary will discuss over the Tiki Love Bowl at At Random. It's a drink for two, and big enough to SCUBA in.

Then you've got nearby attractions like the Bristol Renaissance Faire - maybe Shakespearean language is a code - or maybe the Turkey Legs have a secret ingredient.

Don't forget the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh - what kind of experiments?

Corn mazes? Crop circles? hunting accidents? UFO sightings? Brett Favre? A conspiracy-theorist's paradise! And don't forget about the COWS...

Laughing

obscenely OT

the cows are not what they seem. Smile

and yeah, I would count the continuing dominance (or at least mystifying competency) of the Pack as a puzzle worthy of Jimbo's attention.

oh, believe you me, growing up near Hamtramck as I did, I also love a good polka, but i'm betting that, were we to move push to Indy instead, we would discover that Grace is in actuality a closet rabid NASCAR fan ("Oh, Mr. Gordon, I believe that YOU could be a WINNER....") and that Sloman and Mary would settle in quite nicely with the blooze bands at the Slippery Noodle downtown. (They might even be able to revive Cowboy Poets Night as Farmers' Haiku Tuesdays.)

I would even be willing to bet that, given half a chance, the Push Meeps could spend some time at training camp with Peyton and Edgerrin and stem the hemorrhaging of losses to those nasty cross-town Winnemucca rivals in NO time. "Six-man" football, indeed.

What do u maen? It is official. ABC announced it on ET last night. Although, I though I read in a link to some ABC announcement thing, the person say that you couldn't win the 1.045 mil. But in the official rules it say u still can, however the producers (or PMs or something) sees fit. hmm... It all just adds up to my theory that maybe (just maybe) They aren't really going to cancell the show but its all just a trick. Think about it... Don't u think a lot more people will be watching the show tonight, know that it's the last night? Then, afterwards, they could say that they decided to keep the show just because it got such good ratings on Thursday (today). Yeah, yeah, I know that wasn't the case with beanie babies, but who cares? It's possible.

sigh.

read the other threads, Guest. Tonight is NOT the last night. The last night is October 24th.

And a reporter's announcement based on speculation on Entertainment Tonight is not, by ANYONE's journalistic standard, an "official" network announcement, although ABC has since issued an official press release on the issue mere hours ago.

My god, for a bunch of supposedly sophisticated investigator-types, some of us are damn lousy at confirming our facts before we blurt them out in a public forum. This is exactly how inaccuracies get promulgated.

And if one more damn person posts a link to a "Save Push!" petition here or ANYWHERE on these boards....well, I have five words for that person: "Dear Policeman: I Am Dog". Now taste my sniper's wrath.

Woof.

Shocked

Oz, you really should have an attorney look over your post prior to submission. I'd sure hate to have to take up a collection to bail you out! Wink
