Can I just make a quick reminder/tip about spoilers: Don't worry about spoil tagging speculation or ideas. Please reserve them for things like puzzle solutions or generally accepted key plot points people might not want revealed (re books, movies, etc). Let's try to avoid littering general discussion with big red boxes

for those that have not received the email, below the full mail:

Dear Parents and Students of Moorpond School,
On the eve of the fall semester we wanted to touch base and remind you of our ongoing philosophy and mission in the education of adolescent girls.
Classical education consists of three major components: languages, literature, and history. We believe that a classical education represents the strongest and best aspects of Western Civilization.
We work to instill in our students the concept of arete (excellence, virtue, and goodness). We do this using a variety of methods which we will outline for you in the coming weeks.
This semester we are proud to announce we will be incorporating a few new historical figures into our curriculum:
Talos
Herodotus
Rhea
Euripides
Euclid
Profiles of each of these and the role they will play in our curriculum will appear on the our website in the coming weeks.
We thank you for entrusting us with the education of your daughters. We take that trust very seriously.
Sincerely,
The Faculty and Staff of Moorpond School for Girls

One thing that I found interesting is the 2 italic words
[li]three
[li]arete
Arete does not point to anything that I can find yet

The wiki page on Arete, pretty much says what the e-mail suggests:

Some interesting things of note on the names used thus far:
- Ares (the cafe) is the Greek God of war. His companions of war are Deimos (haven't seen someone with a similar name as this yet) and Phobos (meaning "fear" and looks suspiciously similar to the name Phoebe)
- Cassidy (Cassandra in Greek mythology) was extremely beautiful and had the gift of prophecy. She foresaw the destruction of Troy but no one believed her.
- Talos - giant bronze man who protected Crete
- Herodotus - historian, sometimes sarcastically called the "father of lies" by those of his time
- Rhea - mother of the Greek Gods
- Euripides - great tragedian who wrote 80-95 plays
- Euclid - Greek mathematician called the "father of geometry"
I find it interesting that they say they are incorporating "historical figures" into their curriculum but only three out of the five were actual people.
So, long story short, don't drink the coffee! ;p

Well I must say all the Greek history is very cool. I don't have much else to add as everyone is on the ball big time today.
One thing of note I think it's interesting that both Geneva's mom and Nic's mom are paranoid about them being out there. Wonder if it's mothers intuition on that.
As for Cassy, well there goes that bet LOL.
Really interested in where this one is going!

Kind of new here, but I wanted to post some things I noticed. They may mean something, they may not:
In the Wikipedia article on "Arete" there is a section that says this:
"Arete is a significant part of the paideia of ancient Greeks: the training of the boy to manhood. This training in arete included: physical training, for which the Greeks developed the gymnasion; mental training, which included oratory, rhetoric, and basic sciences; and spiritual training, which included music and what is called virtue."
Also to add to what bluesylvia said: In Mythology Talos was either drugged or driven mad by the Keres (female death spirits). Here is the Wiki on the Keres. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keres_ (mythology)
(the parenthesis break the url so just copy and paste)
It's all very interesting, but again it might mean nothing.
I also sent out an email to the school to see if my daughter would be accepted as a late admission. We'll see what happens.

Digging a bit into Greek history, Primordial could refer to this:

and Rustic this:
