Need help finding a certain game for a science project

Dear colleagues,

A group of authors is working on a science project on Layers of psychological perception in the Internet.

Some time ago (likely years) we have chanced upon a game on this very forum that perfectly fits what we are looking for.

It was a client installed right over your browser that would let you use the internet as a giant gameboard. Collecting goodies left by game devs on certain websites, setting traps for other players and displaying lots of comments and extra info that only other owners of the same client could see.

Does anyone still remember the name of this game and maybe could share a link as well?
This is something quite critical for our project so we cordially thank you in advance.

This sounds like something I had installed for a short while. It let you earn points for surfing the web. I will track it down!

PMOG (Passively Multiplayer Online Game) is what I remember. Is this what you were looking for? (It's dead now) http://pmog.com/#PMOG
