Pages 4-6 of the notes (begining of pg 4 difficult to read)

How often I imagine the fire, and now: it burns. He tells me this way they will not follow. He does not let me watch. Hurry he says. Stay in the shadows. Our house burns. I run. I do not look back.

There is a moment in the house before we leave. I am not sure to run is the way. Maybe they find us, maybe worse. I need to think. I tell him: come back tomorrow. He is not a man for no. He tells me the world is ending. I tell him come back. He tells me think of your family. He sees your picture on

the piano. This one, he says, your sister? Think of what happens to her if you finish the work here, if the world ends. He sees my face. He asks where you are. I cannot speak. The words do not come. I hold your picture, Anika I remember.

Once you told me: if ever I am gone, do not look back. Run without me. We both know the stories - what happens when a person disappears. They do not come back.

Anika I do not want to go. But I promise. I promise you then.

I hold you close. My lost one. He sees that already you are gone There is no one left.

Do not take much he says. The rest we burn.

I ask him where we go but he does not speak. Down the street there are bicycles and he tells me to follow. Be quiet. We ride until I cannot smell smoke. Then we ride more. I count the rings as we ride, further and further from the city. We cross the channel. I cannot see the Sukhov tower. I cannot see the road. My legs ache and I cannot see the road and still we ride. At once, we stop. Hidden along the side of the road, a motorbike waits. We leave the bicycles. He tells me: hold on tight. When the sky becomes grey, when almost I feel I will fall, the city far behind us, we stop. Where are we? I ask. He does not answer.

 		notgordian- Most excellent recovery and recounting!

Greystone- Intriguing theory, I love it.

(Some ramblings- there are many weeks. Please feel free to shot holes in any and everything.)

Yet he waits for her in the lighthouse above the device that she activated to "save the world" that also swept her away to a lonely universe, where she can only send snippets of information across the void from time to time. (I am waiting for you.) He waits for the proper alignment, the proper settings, coordinates, from her so that he may join her. So, we would need a "Captain Nemo" figure-organization to transport them from the wreckage to where she could complete her work. He is gone now, so perhaps they are together again, at last. (Sniff, dry a tear. Could someone please pass the popcorn?)

 		Fragment 05 page transcriptions
In the notes that I recently transcribed from Fragment 05, I believe Pages 1-3 actually follow Pages 4-6. I transcribed them from the photos notgordian so nicely uploaded for us and used his file order. However, the files that the Mechanic recently posted suggest otherwise. Sequentially, I believe the revised order makes more sense.

 		I think the Mechanic has recently posted some very interesting answers about the device and who used it. I believe his comment below provides us some parameters for our speculations.

 		Back from my weekend at the OSS training ground camp site!

This was a heck of a drop, lots and lots of information.

1st off I have to say YAY! The Mathematician is a woman!!!! Smile This also gives us one little thing to keep in mind, when it comes to some documents, don't take it as 100% factual.

2nd With the nickname the Mathematician gave our dear Operative, it seems to be heading towards her being the love interest. I'm sure you all had the same idea but it's nice to clear up the Operative/Spy name thing.

and Lastly...

I so double the sniffle and want of popcorn from Booba! This story just keeps getting better and better.

No worries; tis not a rule, just general etiquette (often there'd be threads with pages filled with red mouse-over text; just a minor annoyance to read constantly, so it's generally accepted to be conservative with spoilers). Also, welcome to uF Wink

Sounds good! Once we know a more exact location we should plan to meet up somewhere (I'm actually in town this weekend so woo hoo indeed Smile )
