That shouldn't be allowed. They need to lock it down so only the people in the industry can put in the official information.

Or make it like Wikipedia where you have to site a source or something.

No, that would quickly devolve into chaos as well. Just like the real Wikipedia, which is terrible enough as it is...

Wikipedia's great if your looking for general information on a specific subject.

Apparently Doug Jones confirmed that over the summer he was in a movie "shot in a reality-style with that hand-held, found footage sort of style, based on a web series that is based on an internet legend and that's all I can tell you. [...] I can't confirm or deny any of your guesses." I don't think it's terribly speculative to guess he's playing The Operator. This was apparently on The Nerdist podcast.

This is pretty sweet because not only does it mean they got the perfect actor for The Operator, but principle photography is apparently already completed. I'm very excited now.

I heard a few weeks ago in an IGN report that they said the paranormal activity guys were not working on any new movies. This directly contradicts what we've been hearing about them doing the MH movie, doesn't it?

So hooray. It's filmed, and now to languish for a few months in post.

I am stoked that if he wasn't trolling the interview, not relying on 100% CGI for Slendy is great friggin news!

Depends on whether they're talking about the same PA guys. There've been multiple people involved in the PA films, and it's not the whole team making this one, I don't think. Could you find the article, possibly? Some context might help.

It was during an up at noon or something, there is no way for me to find it. I thought the bigger names on the production list for PA were supposed to be part of the MH filming?

Although Doug Jones has recently claimed that he played the slender man in the movie, so IGN clearly had their facts wrong

What's shitty is that he wont play the operator for marble hornets. I get he might be busy and all but you'd think he could travel to alabama one weekend to shoot a scene with something that ties in directly to the movie he's going to star in...

Maybe they meant that they aren't working on any new Paranormal Activity movies specifically, at the time of the interview.

Honestly, I hope that the movie either focuses on a new set of characters or (and this is the one that I really want) is set in the summer of '06, and is about the filming of Marble Hornets. I feel like we still don't have a bunch of information about what went down, and it would be interesting to see what they can do with a bigger budget.
