I've been lurking around for some time here, and I've got some theories on the entry. (sorry if I'm not understandable at all, my english isn't as perfect)

First of all, I think we have to figure out where does the tape come from, then we can speculate on its contents.

1) It is one of Alex's burned/hidden tapes: in that case, it is most likely the footage will take place during the MH filming (2006), and it could show some things involving Alex and The Operator, this time related to Tim and his Masky state; or maybe, it might show us how Tim was part of ToTheArk.

2) It is one of the tapes that take place in the seven missing months: in that case, the footage could show us what happened to Jessica (maybe Tim, as already said by many people, was involved in her disappearence and remembers it correctly), or Hoody's identity and his deal with Tim.

3) It is a recent tape: I really don't know what to expect in this case. But, if Tim needed to hide it, it could be something really important to Jay.

Furthermore, in this specific entry, when they go through Tim's "music room", they find it all messed up, and Tim says something like "looks like there was some kind of struggle in here". Are we sure the struggle was between Alex and Hoody? What if Tim went earlier without telling Jay, and fought Alex/Hoody to take the tape before Jay could watch it? In that case, I think Tim already knew what was on the tape, or he had an idea on its contents.

I'm sorry if all this stuff has already been posted, I onestly didn't go through all the 55 pages of topic! lol

A thought...

I haven't been able to go through this entire topic and I know if I get something wrong then you guys will correct me.

What if over the course of this time Jay has been going in and out of amnesia and actually already saw the tape. What if Jay specifically told Tim to hide the tape from him knowing it would make him go ballistic if he saw it? That would mean Tim was just following orders.

If this has already been said well then woops.

What would really move the plot along would be the tape containing one of four things:

What happened directly after entry 12
What happened directly before entry 22
What happened before/after "Return"
Something about the tunnel

Know what was never done I just realized? Masky appears in so many of TTA's vids willingly, and Tim for how long was siding with Jay now? Why did Jay never ask: What is The Ark?

I daresay he has. But Tim doesn't remember any time he spends as Masky, so how could he know what The Ark is?

He says that he doesn't remember. That doesn't mean he actually doesn't.

Well, yeah. Is still trust him enough to believe that he doesn't remember any time he spends in Masky state, though. And even if Jay did ask him what The Ark is, he wouldn't give a reliable answer.

Willingly? That's not certain, I like the idea that Hoody can control masky (hinted at in #60)
Masky always looks kinda out of it in TTA videos.

Anyway, sorry for bringing it up, just an idea that I like

Also remember they can't go back and edit things. It's entirely possible they didn't think it'd get this big and just had the idea to make tim totheark in season 1 and nothing more, only changing that after brainstorming before season 2's production

That tape contains the next episode of Nature Break. Tim was going to surprise Jay with it, for Jay loves Nature Break. Also, Craig Digsby is Jay's Masky-state. PLOT TWIST! It would actually make sense that Jay would develop MPD after running around in Rosswood and being terrorized by the Operator, so Craig is his stronger personality, who isn't afraid of Rosswood, but actually embraces it.

Wait, what the heck did I just write?

What's your point? The whole point of the ending is to tie everything together that's happened. A good ending won't leave holes in the first season...

You're not a state? Coulda sworn you were Iowa or something, Digs.

It's almost certain that that was the case, but it's irrelevant. They've made it clear that they have tried to write the rest of the series around all the stuff they threw in in S1 and not cause any continuity errors, therefore Masky's appearance in early TTA vids is canon and has some explanation, whether or not it's ever addressed. Based on the fact that Masky continued to appear even in S2 TTA responses and has been seen working with the real mastermind of the channel multiple times, it's pretty much established fact that he's either part of TTA or has at least cooperated with them, including in videos. Which is the whole thing being discussed here.
