I wasn't going to, but since it keeps coming up I'll go ahead and weigh in on the "Jessica breathing" thing. After several people pointed it out I re-watched #76 just to see for myself. Staring at the monitor from 6 inches away (and giving myself a nice headache), I couldn't see it. Not even a little.

Now, I won't say that proves it didn't happen; I had to watch #11 a dozen times before I finally saw The Operator in the house. That's not hyperbole; even after the exact time and location were pointed out it still took me 12 tries before I saw the bastard. I will say that if Jessica was breathing just before TO took her, she wasn't supposed to be. And we weren't supposed to notice it.

Something just occurred to me: if Jess was alive at that point, she was clearly unconscious. When people are unconscious (whether sleeping or knocked out) their breathing is slow and deep. If she was meant to be unconscious the rise and fall of her chest with each breath would've been much more pronounced -obvious enough that there would be no question of it.

So in closing, while I can't completely dismiss the possibility of Jessica still being alive, I don't believe she is, and I'll be shocked if she returns.

As far as I know, there is evidence of Hoody existing in season 1, because someone was filming Jay running back for a battery while he was location scouting with Alex.

Dude, that was Alex filming Jay, not Hoody. Remember when Jay went over to the car, Alex walked for a bit, and the camera advanced in time around the 30 second mark. Then we saw him looking at the sky and continuing his walk. Alex probably edited that part out, and finished the end clip with him looking at the sky.

I agree. So far we've only seen TO take 2 people like this and that is Jessica and Bruce. We know Bruce is dead, so it makes sense to me that Jessica would be dead. It also adds another layer of why Tim wanted Jay to not see the tape. Not only because he was involved in Jessica's disappearance, but because Jessica was Jay's driving force, if she's dead, that force goes away.

Though this also makes me wonder if Tim knew what was on the end of the tape with her disappearing. Maybe he didn't watch it and in fact, the only reason he didn't want Jay to see it was because Tim was involved.

Well see, I'd agree with you if it didn't feel like we were closing in on the end. I mean, if we're not as near the end as we think (and I think whatever goes down in 77 will be a helpful indicator of this), then yes, they could potentially have time to explore the 2006 events in more tapes and give everyone enough significance that they are reasonable candidates.

In the event that future entries make Seth a more prominent character, I would say that would actually make him a better choice than Brian.

But as things stand right now, Brian is the best choice, with Amy maybe as a second.

I think we're being mislead that we're at the end - after all, Troseph have been building up Hoody's identity for nearly two years now, their not going to go for the most obvious canditate like Tim was in season one. Masky's identity back in season one was never meant to be a mystery: we were meant to ask why is this guy who seemed so angry when Jay was interviewing him dressing up in a mask and doing crazy? What's he hiding?

Hoody, on the otherhand, identity has been built up for nearly two years now, there's no way Troseph are going to go for the easy reveal and not revel in some misdirection. It'd be waay too anti-climatic and have you seen this fanbase? They would not be safe Smile

Frustrating, but fun times await Unfiction, I'm sure of it.

I wasn't actively looking for it because
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I was paying more attention to the imagery and what the creator was trying to convey.

Tell you what. Troy and company are coming to GMX this year. GMX runs from November 1st through November 3rd. Here's the site: geekmediaexpo.com. Come on down. They will most likely be doing another Q&A. You can ask them directly if they meant for you to think that Jessica was dead.

They aren't all about the twist. Just because we analyse the shit out of everything and determined who Hoody probably is doesn't mean the average fan has. If the reveal was Brian, the average fan would probably be like "HUH?? I thought that guy died back in whichever Entry that was!" I would be more disappointed if it was someone shockingly random. I don't wanna be surprised, I want to be satisfied with the identity reveal, in that it makes sense and improves the story.

Ask the creators in over two months? There will be Entries released far before that which will most likely settle the debate... Such as the next time Jay talks to Tim. It's gonna come up. And TO has taken Tim and Alex while alive, Alex specifically while he was asleep, appearing in his room and shortly thereafter disappearing along with Alex... Essentially exactly what is being proposed as what happened to Jessica.

I don't know...even if I was just an average viewer, I probably would be thinking that it was Brian, given that Tim and Brian's friendship has been mentionced numerous times and would despise Troseph for not suggesting it could be anyone else. We don't know how long this season is going to be, and there's plenty of time to cast doubt on everyone who was involved in a credible and dramiticaly satisfying way (and then it was Brian all along. Bastards) Brian's been shown to be aggressive, easily annoyed and a close friend to Tim, which make him a lot more suspicious then the other members of the cast to be Hoody in most viewer's eyes (IMO). Sarah got annoyed at Alex for being a jerk and a hack director, Seth seemingly was a walk over for Alex during his crazy, but at this point, we haven't really been given any other reason why they could be Hoody and ergo, we go to Brain.

I don't think not giving us solid reasons to suspect the other members would go over very well with hardcore fans or the average viewer. But, that's just my opinion Smile

The only way it could work if we just had Tim and Jay finding a tape of Brian slowly descending into Hoody and his struggles to retain his sense of self, but I'd still find that dramitically unsatisfying, but effective and I think most people would as well. But, just my opinion.

We also saw Jay taken in this manner, though he was promptly returned. We can assume Tim was taken the same way, but I don't like assumption. We saw it with Jay in entry 52, after 10:30.

@Sha Noran

In my head, I picture you looking like the person in your avatar.

It makes me laugh.

I can't take you seriously.

I totally agree.

And the one reason I'm Team Amy is because I'm desperate for a badass chick in this series. (Amy's pissed at her ex....blah blah blah)

I don't know, I thought Jessica Took a Level in Badass in this entry. Don't think I'd call her a Damsel anymore (as I had previously thought her to be, I am ashamed to admit). Of course, she's taken at the end anyway, so I guess we'll be needing a new one.

Good thing I'm familiar enough with that trope to feel no urge to click the link, I literally just got off TV Tropes for the day hour.

Oh, very much so! But I'm meaning IF Jessica is truly dead like Bruce.
