I'm sorry but one thing that kind of ruined TO for me was that in season 2&3 it looked like he was wearing bell bottoms. He's still scary but his pants looked way to flared out. One thing a lot of people noticed is how much bigger he got. Maybe from gaining more power? I think there's an in-game reason why he grew in size, because in entry 70 (filmed recently set in 06) he was a lot shorter. I also think I figured out how they did the operator but I don't know if I should say it because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. But there are some errors made that gives away how they did it.

I subscribed to the increased power = Bigger TO

I actually have a longish theory that while leaving some holes, could explain why Alex does what he does, why TO looks different and the only escape (closest thing to an escape anyway) from TO...

I keep getting reminded of a show on in the UK in 1992 called Ghostwatch, wherein it was shot like a real paranormal show (think most haunted) where they followed the activities of a ghost dubbed Mr Pipes messing about in a suburban home.

Eventually it turned out that by broadcasting it over the entire UK, which acted as a nationwide seuance, it allowed Mr Pipes to become powerful as hell, which ended in the BBC studio that was commentating on the footage being streamed "live" from the house having its lights smashed out, telekinetic disturbances ending in "audience" members getting "killed", Sasha Greene being dragged into the netherworld and Micheal Parkinson being possessed while Pipes used The BBC transmitter network to increase its power by terrorizing the entirety of the UK.

Turned out the next morning that it was a complete hoax but the entirety of Britain shat itself and were similarly outraged when it turned out it was a hoax.

Why do I bring this up? What if jay is the reason The Operator gets more powerful? The more people who know about TO meaning the more chance there is of him existing isn't a new theory (see Tupla Effect). But instead of just giving him more chance of physical presence, what if it gives him increased power to roam with in our world? Old Operator walked, however this one doesn't, maybe he's got enough power that he can just freely teleport with no danger of needing energy conservation as our fascinated eyes watch Jay's videos and feed him with attention.

However, what if Alex's ultimate plan is to cut off (of at least severely limit) the operators food supply by killing Jay and Tim and shutting down the videos on youtube. This would also give the added twist that Totheark may in fact be working (in a roundabout way or even tricking Jay into thinking this) for TO or even doesn't understand what Alex is trying to do to save everyone else.

I'm aware this does add plot holes, one of which would be leaving Bruce's corpse for the Operator, but we could just dismiss the murder as thinking it was Jay in a panic and being in the throes of insanity, and leaving the corpse as he knew he couldn't explain it to the authorities so just let TO take it.

I do know this is a pretty out there theory, but its been in my head for a while...

Hahaha, exactly! I was gonna mention this in my earlier post, but I didn't know what the name was for those types of pants. So I just said his pants looked weird.

But yes, bell bottoms. They look like friggin' bell bottoms.

Edit: Specifically this appearance.

For me it was the hands AND feet. His hands look like, well, not hands.

Yeah, 51 was not my favorite TO appearance. Maybe at some point I'll post an evaluation of each of his appearances and what made them good or bad.

It's not a very good idea for them to make him move (normally at least). I'm glad they realized stop motion wasn't the way to go with it. He just ended up looking kinda wonky in those entries (referring to entry 14 and return). Plus, the less you see of him the scarier it is in my opinion.

For example, the moment that gives me the most chills is when Alex is in bed and the shadow goes by and the papers on the wall shake a bit. Plus, I forget what entry it's in but when Jay, Tim, and Alex are all in that room making music and all you see is that leg at the very end? I mean c'mon!

I think he looked great in Return, actually.

Some of the most chilling Operator appearances from season 1 were times I didn't notice him, then found here or on the wiki when he was visible, then went back and played "Where's Slendy?". Because then when you see it, you shit brix. I find it frightening to think he could be clearly visible but you just don't see him for some reason, like when he was outside that window behind Tim when they were rehearsing lines.

Yes. Especially that one. Because he wasn't even as well hidden as usual that time- he was literally in plain sight, right behind Tim, for half the entry and it's still easy to miss him.

What was creepy about Return was the way he walked.

You can tell by the way he walked, he's a woman's man. No time to talk.
