First, I too am going in debt for this trip. Second, if it costs you 120 bucks to ride a bus, why not just fly? My round trip from Kansas City cost me $137. Also, just so you all know, LordofMorgul and I are gonna show you all how to play some Halo Wink

Anyway.. Do you guys think they'll have any problem with me using it if I bring it? I sure hope not...

I plan on bringing my Duke, I'm also hoping it won't be a problem.

No way. I can't fit my little hands around one of those big honkin' things. My only concern is that they won't have the Y axis inverted. I get all confused and can't do a thing if it's "regular."

I'm sure you'll be able to change up the controls without any problem.

Uhh... We will? Oh, oh yeah. Actualy I thought I was getting really good, but then I had 2 friends over tonight to pre\actice up for tomorrow and I got smeared all over Boarding Action and Damnation all night by one of them (the other is just decent). But I did better thatn expected on some levels, I guess we will see tomorrow. Still, of the 25 or so people I have ever played against (we play 16 man pretty often at my house), only one can beat me consistently (the one doing the fore-mentioned smearing). Hopefully tomorrow I will be doing the smearing! Laughing

Boy you people post a lot. Razz Cell phone for coordinating, camera, lots of money, a change of clothes. Make sure you get some SLEEP!

Add:

Game Boy Advance and linking games. Yes, this is an event for the Microsoft X-Box, but it's also a meeting of geeks, and where else are you going to get to netbattle, trade mythril weapons, or evolve your Kadabra?

Snacks. Be careful eating and driving, but driving and more driving will bore you to sleep, and that's just as bad. Take along a few things to nibble on, along with copious amounts of caffiene.

Stuff to sign. It looks like we're going to get DVD's with all the wav files on them, but you may want to get that Halo 2 promo poster signed, or perhaps your Halo game, or perhaps your bra. Bring pens and appropriate signing material, in case someone cool shows up.

Geek clothing. A change of clothes is mentioned above, but it is important to note that this is a gathering of fellow geeks. While I have my clothes already picked out, you may want to take advantage of the one time in your lives where you can wear the "3V1L L33T" t-shirt and have everyone love you for it. Bonuses for ILB clothing are, of course, in order.

Controllers. If you have a favorite X-Box controller that you *must* use, then you might want it with you.

Notepad. We're getting a five-day advance look at Halo 2. Take notes on the camping spots. ^_^

I can't stand playing with the little controllers. Not enough meat on the bones! And I MUST play inverted.

Now that I have my excuses lined up...

BTW: Gkrohne is responsible for our shirts design. The last time I saw it, we had a mean looking bee on the front of a white sweat shirt. We should be pretty easy to find. We're the ones freezing our butts off.

Hey, I'm as rusty as anyone, but when you talk smack, you have to at least sound like you mean it.

I too am planning on duking it but the only reason that they might not change it would be if they are using the xbox kiosks. It is very possible since it would be much more likely to catch someone trying to steal an xbox or halo 2 copy.

as for the controls, you can now change your controller settings,(all of them) in game. so that should not be a problem as long as you can read.

Hello all.

Kali and I will be coming straight from work -- we'll change into our Goddess Army t-shirts* when we get there.

She's wearing a black skirt with cranberry and pink flowers and a cranberry colored blouse, and I'm wearing black pants and a cranberry boucle sweater with a cowl neck. (No, we didn't plan the outfits, but apparently we share too many favorite colors. Rolling Eyes ) She's a brunette; I'm blonde. That should make us easy enough to find.

*Our t-shirts turned out okay, girls...the bee's glow has a slight greenish tinge, but other than that, they turned out better than I thought they would.

Except a corner of mine got a bit pulled-up. <sigh> Oh well.

I totally forgot to grab my controller, and I will be wearing my work clothes. I simply have not had time to do a shirt, so you will just have to accept my aura of goddessosity as genuine and true.

Um, I'm wearing a burgundy/cranberry blouse, and black slacks that sort of bell at the bottom, but they ain't bellbottoms!

Phaedra, we're just wearing poweful goddess colors, or something.

Woot!!! Can't wait to meet you all.

Hey, for those Goddesses (and others) who really want to give Stratus a scrub-down in a bucket (because he offered?), we will be riding in together, probably getting there around 5:30-ish local time...how long are you all planning on hanging out at Chipotle?

Hyacinthe, I know long trips at o'god-in-the-morning can be a drag, so if you want to convoy back to MI with us (at least as far as Kzoo), that's cool (and anyone else, for that matter)... if you want to be adventuresome on your own, that's cool too! Smile
