Oh, I didn't notice these are the same chinese letters. I thought these were different letters after the first file/case appeared.
Does the progress bar progress at a different speed now? 10 hours ago 7% were finished, it took about 12 hours for these 7% I think. Now the bar raised by 8 percent points in just 10 hours. I expected it to take another 12 hours to be at 14%.

Yeah it seems to be going even faster now. It raised 12% in the last 3-4 hours (now at 26%).

A new case file is available. Reading it and watching the video enlightens us. We now know that UH3 is another machine being examined.
Please watch the video before you go on reading my post, I will try to summarize the video.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Reed is interviewing the new machine UH3. It says its name is Adam Golaski. In fact, there is a man called Adam Golaski working at Omicron, which seems to be the organization that is conducting research regarding these machines. Later, Golaski is called so he can talk with the machine. Surprisingly, the machine says things that the real Golaski had in mind. The machine also knew things that only the human Golaski could know, for example as the last words of his father. Golaski is surprised, shocked and frightened, interrupts the interview and leaves. What I don't know is if the machine has the personality and memory of Golaski saved or if it is a kind of real-time-transmission and it kind of reads minds.
In addition, I noticed chinese letters in the bottom left corner. Are they new, I did not see them before?
I try to find out what they mean.

Apparently we are intruding in the system and we have been detected. System lockdown is currently at 5%.
Also OT, but this is reminding me strongly of the SCP Foundation. You can lose yourself for hours in that if you are interested.

Are we the intruders? Or the machines? Or something different?
I don't know much about SCP, I just read some cases and know the games Containment Breach and the so-called "Staircase Simulator" (I think there are two versions).
About the chinese letters:
First letter:
http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E5%A4%A9/1314989
(sky, weather, fall, day, season)
Second:
http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E9%AB%98/1304786
(tall, high, senior)
Third:
http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E7%9A%87/1306439
(emperor)
Forth:
http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E5%B8%9D/1303178
(god, empreror, imperialism)
Fifth:
http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E8%BF%9C/1318794
(far, distant)
Now it's getting really interesting!
When I put these letters together and translate them, I get 3 possible meanings:
http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E5%A4%A9%E9%AB%98%E7%9A%87%E5%B8%9D%E8%BF%9C/41487
天高皇帝远
"The sky is high and the emperor is far away"
"One may do whatever he wants without limitation"
"There is no help for something"
Wow, that's super interesting. I'd say the machines or AI is not from earth. Maybe a whole empire of machines exist. But we don't know whether the machines reproduce themselves or are just constructions of organic lifeforms.
What do you think?

It's a Chinese saying that means that everything is allowed since it's happening far from god's and emperor's sight. I don't think it tells something about origins of AI.
My take on this is that the events of the game will take place somewhere far, where humanity doesn't have control anymore and without it AI would develop it's own will.
Also, computer's interface is in Chinese - I think those "Right column" and "Go out" are just elements of the interface that stand for "minimize" and "close" the window..
UPD: Descrambled picture:
UPD:
RFC 4880 leads to something called OpenPGP Message Format . Don't know how it is related.
Though it seems that 0x40 plays some role in OpenPGP. Go figure.
UPD:
Ok... "Refer to source" meant looking into a source of the page.
There are these lines:
Code:
LS0tLS1CRUdJTiBQR1AgTUVTU0FHRS0tLS0tDQpWZXJzaW9uOiBHbnVQRyB2Mi4wLjE5IChNaW5nVzMy...
bm90ZTogcGhyYXNlLCBsb3dlcmNhc2U
If decoded with base64 they translate:
Code:
-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (MingW32) jA0ECQMCOZMp4iR4ULWu0loBVLEt7zgQyTJONONNcynZhdoO0lp2FC6h8/54NRAu 4Xfw/BWV5tCx12mTO20H1TPSgXKRIcinurBqqlZxCU6G7rdTmrHkkh2xQMt1c6Qj dYp9aHDw05qLwsw= =c66i -----END PGP MESSAGE-----
note: phrase, lowercase
Seems that my theory about OpenPGP was correct. The message is encoded with it. I have no idea how to decode it.

Ok, so my security and encryption background is somewhat limited. I'm more academic in my pursuits, so Viginere and Atbash are more my cup of tea. That being said, we're dealing with PGP, or Pretty Good Privacy.
This is an interesting encryption method, as it requires a public and private key to function. To explain:
Dude A wants to send a private message to Gal B.
Gal B posts her Public key.
Dude A encrypts his message using the Public Key, and sends it to Gal B.
Gal B uses her private key to decrypt the message.
It's a very solid encryption method. So, that leads us to this unfortunate bit of news:
We don't have a public key. This ciphertext is next to useless to us, until we get a key. Maybe it's buried somewhere? OH GOD WHAT IF IT'S STENOGRAPHED INTO ONE OR SEVERAL OF THE PICTURES NO I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT
But yeah.
TL;DR: Shit's private, yo. We need more stuff to decrypt this message.

Well going off of what Skotona showed us with the hint:
Quote:
note: phrase, lowercase
And "The sky is high and the emperor is far away" being an actual Chinese saying (phrase). I looked up the origins of the quote and the actual quote is "heaven is high and the emperor is far away". So using that as the gpg key we can decrypt the text revealing:

Could you please explain it further? I don't see how soma is connected to Amnesia:AMFP.
EDIT: Oh, by the way. The official game website is online: http://www.somagame.com/
EDIT: "Terminal locked" on somasystems. Redirects to somagame.com. Seems to be over (for now).

The "Files" page is there, with the files already unlocked and the ones missing. The game is to be released in 2015... there's a long time to continue the ARG. I hope...

"Don't trust Raznik. He's an imposter.", as twisterxiz already posted.
Did you already watch the trailer? Did you notice what the name of the (dead?) man in the video was?
Right. His name is Raznik.
I really hope the ARG continues until the release date.

It has to be mentioned how quickly these films were put together. The first script drafts + instructions were sent on the 2nd of september. This meant they had a less than a month to produce the first movie. Then another movie needed to be done a week after that. Given the amount steps needed to go from script to final film, this is insanely fast.
Will there be more movies? We would really like that to happen, but nothing is set yet. Stay tuned for more news regarding that!
That's why I added "for now" to it.
