 		The Masky/Hoody State
I wanted to discuss some strange aspects about these specific "states."

So Tim goes Masky mode after one of his seizures without pills, correct? After Entry 61, I think its same to assume that. They also ward off the Operators effects. Probably what causes the seizures for Tim in the first place, so same treatment maybe.

But When Tim is Masky, and when whoever is Hoody is Hoody, we have enough evidence to show that they are still aware that the pills are of vital importance and they aim to take them. This can be seen in season 1 when Masky visits Jay at night and then the pills go missing, and in season 3 when Hoody uploads a video of him taking his last pill and then searching Tim's house for extra pills in a later video.

But Tim also takes these pills when he is not in Masky mode, and its almost like at both states, they want the pills. Just how sane, mentally aware, and conscious are you when you are in that state?

From the looks of it, Hoody has been Hoody for quite some time now, camping out in that abandoned house until Alex found him. Was he actually in a masky like state? It confuses the hell out of me. Like, why does Tim return to consciousness in the morning but not Hoody? Why does he remain Hoody? Does he know his identity? What if Tim knows his identity when he is Masky?

What else is weird is how the two silently work together. The only time we have heard one of them talk is entry ###### when Tim gives that creepy speech, and we assume he is in a Masky like state. The only other gesture made is the Shhhhh in entry 76 from Hoody to Jessica.

Do they talk out their plans? Maybe they communicate to each other in complicated ass puzzles.

Another strange aspect is Tim's experience in Entry 65. As he's freakin out, he shouts "Jay" twice. Only the sane, conscious Tim would shout that, meaning he was not yet in a crazy like state. Only when he teleports back to his car does he start acting very strange, then driving to the hospital and hallucinatin/smashing the wall with a poll until passing out. Was he Masky then? I don't think he was, because he seemed too delusional at that time.

 		TTA is Hoody's "masky state". As in, the guy who makes the fucked up videos on the TTA channel is Hoody when he's off the meds or bonkers from TO mindrape. The more sane or straightforward TTA videos are a saner, rational Hoody.

That's an interesting idea. I wonder if we have ever seen an entry (aside from the TTA entries) with Hoody in more of a "masky" state.

However this theory would have more legs if we had gotten a TTA video right around when he was raiding Tim's house for more pills.

 		I'm still of the opinion that only Tim has an alternate personality, and I'm even sceptical about that.

We got Conversion right after 73. Hoody converting to his TTA insane state. He got no pills after 73, which was posted right on Jay's channel and seemed to me to be his cry for help. Since Tim and Jay were dicking around taking forever to make a move, Hoody went nuts and possibly kidnapped Alex.

This in general explains why sometimes Hoody is cryptic and helpful, even if his messages are coded, and other times his videos are just weird random scary shit. Sometimes sane with the help of Tim and his pills, sometimes bonkers without. I originally posted about this in more length in the Entry 73 thread (I think) and definitely the "do you trust Tim?" thread as well. I think it was those threads at least. I initially suggested we study the times different TTA videos came out to see if their level of insanity matched with the theoretical availability of pills to Hoody, but we never did.

Also this explains why he stole Tim's pills in 61... rather than seeming sadistic, as he did at the time, it was actually because he needed them for himself... Which is basically confirmed by 73. If Hoody doesn't need the pills for himself why did he hike for ages and ages to check to see if there were any more at Tim's house?

It's either an alternate personality or Tim's very good at acting towards Jay. He's said multiple times that things happened with no memory of what happened, IE, his time as Masky. So either Masky was in control, and Tim really doesn't remember what happened, or he really IS acting, and it's all a part of some bigger scheme.

Exactly, and a good one. So if he was supposed to be acting differently than he was, he could've been a poor liar before or a better liar recently. But he wasn't. So....? I take it as it is.

Somebody mentioned this in another thread, but Tim did a horrible job trying to hide that tape from Jay. If Tim was at all seriously trying to lie about the tape then there's no way I can imagine him faking his talks about his Masky state and stuff.

Either that or Tim's "It'll ruin everything we worked for!" was a Wonka-ism.

That's actually an interesting take on this....maybe he DID want Jay to watch it?
