Not going to lie, I really wasn't expecting anything to come out of this. I'm going to try and clean up the OP because I didn't know what was going on at the start. Also @ the twitter conversation I think he found us ARGers through Unforum itself as we have a thread here for players to advertise their social media for PM's to use. I was followed by @privateeyejr and I don't advertise that I'm an ARGer. Anyway, if anyone would be so kind to give me some tips on what I need to mention about this ARG in the OP that'd be grand (as I'm not the biggest follower of wrestling and so could do with some hints.)

Notable Events

20th June - Icarus held a informal meeting in Easton at the location of where the Chikara event would have taken place. He handed out I Am Chikara t-shirts and got people to informally write down their contact details (email addresses etc) Video Footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8VlmiGFs74

23rd August - Condor/Titor hacks into Icarus's 101 account and used it to post a fake site (www.savechikara.com) encouraging people to post their email addresses and details under the pretense that it will help save Chikara. People who posted their phone numbers reported receiving phone calls from Condor warning them.

14th September - Icarus held a second informal meeting on the "Rocky" steps of the Philly Museum of Art, he again handed out I am Chikara t-shirts as well as an email address (w.c.vavasseurSPLATtitorconglomerate.com) later found to belong to W.Conrad Vavasseur, head of Titor Conglomorate (not to be confused with Wink Conrad Vavasseur his son). 1. Emailing/Pestering Conrad Vavasseur

Icarus encouraged people to email Conrad Vavasseur at the following address and demand that they bring back Chikara: w.c.vavasseurSPLATtitorconglomerate.com

Current Status: Responses from Mr Vavasseur have been playfully grumpy though it is noted that he is actually responding to all the messages. He has also used the information gathered from the Icarus account hack (see events of note 23rd August), specifically he has shown knowledge of which cities players are living in.

It is currently considered that all the emails sent to Conrad V, lead to his son Wink V Jr coming on twitter finally and starting to talk to people again.

2. No Private Army Blog

The No Private Army blog appeared sometime during Season 12 of Chikara and has been slowly updating with World Conspiracy posts which seemingly hinted at events that were also occuring within the Chikara Universe at the time.

Current Status: In late July (possibly 26th) it was noted that new sentances were appearing in the posts in bold font. Many sentances were confirmed to be from The Watchmen graphic novel series (Season 12 of Chikara is said to be based on this series.), though some were not. They have since however returned to being unbolded but can still be found in the posts. The reason for these quotes have yet to be discerned.

Quotes include: privately owned // Things have their forms not only in space, but also in time. // I'm not locked up in here with YOU. You're locked up in here with ME. // In the end, nothing ends. Nothing ever ends. // What happened to us? What happened to the American Dream?

[Possible Reason for the Posts?]
As the NPA guy has no logical reason to be bolding parts of his text and referencing Watchmen I'd believe it is a nod from the game puppeteers.

I first noticed they were being bolded and being inserted into the text back on the 26th of July. Around the same time that rumours were flying around stating that out of story, Chikara had actually shut down due to it not being owned by Mike Quackenbush anymore.

Now keeping that in mind, the last blog post's bolded text read privately owned. I'd say that could certainly be construed as the men behind the curtain saying to us that the company was still owned by them and to ignore that rumour.
The rest of the quotes in bold were all from The Watchmen graphic novel so perhaps were put in to draw our attention to this.

That's fantastic, minoralignment! One thing though: you might be able to safely strike kingoftrios.com off the list. When the domain came up, it was purchased for non-wrestling purposes and when asked, the owner knew nothing about CHIKARA.

In the last month or so, various villains from Chikara's past, such as GEKIDO, who was pictured in Private Eye, Jr's Instagram, have returned to attack the Wrestling is promotions.

There are 7 and together they spell out CHIKARA. So basically, they are little splinter groups that each identify with something that Chikara represents. I've been to three groups and I have a great time, but they all feel like they are missing something. I'm not alone in feeling this way.

Wrestling is Fun - K (The K is for potassium, b/c their title is a banana.)

Wrestling is Intense was closed by GEKIDO. We thought they were long gone. Wrestling is Awesome was closed by Dr. Cube. He hasn't been around in years. Wrestling is Art was threatened by Sinn Bodhi who we haven't seen since the end of 2011. It's like the Ghosts of Chikara's past coming back.

I think it might be hard for the average ARG player to solve/move forward with a lot of this without knowing the storylines and background of CHIKARA.
Even moreso because of how deep and detailed their stories tend to get. with things that seemed inconsequential suddenly being relevant 6 years after the fact, etc.

I wonder then if the PrivateEyeJr twitter followed a bunch of you folks to lead us here? Either to get some sort of general ARG strategies from you, or for...some other reason? Maybe they're here, watching? *insert Hall and Oates lyrics here*

that said, I'd be happy to shed light on any aspects of CHIKARA that I can if any of you are interested. The attention to detail in their storytelling, both with this ARG and their storylines in general, are really unparalleled.
