 		I realize that the the thread didn't explain its purpose very well, and that may be my fault. When I was cleaning up some spam posts ages ago, I had multiple tabs open and I accidentally deleted the wrong thread, which happened to be the original Rage Thread. In a "whoops" moment, I started the second one with an explanation of what happened. At the time, many of the users here were very aware of the original "Rage Thread" and the reasons for its creation and it continued without interruption or even considering that someone might come across it that didn't understand.

I'm all for having off-topic discussion on this subforum as long as it promotes a sense of community; that's why we have threads devoted specifically for off-topic general discussion. However, discussions like the ones that were developing recently in the Rage Thread can be very divisive, if not completely offensive.

I didn't necessarily lock the thread because it strayed too far from the road; it had jumped off the road completely and started rolling around in the ditch.

Again, the thread itself was created as a bandage on a problem some of us (speaking as members, not moderators) saw developing. But now it's time to take it off and actually treat the wound.

 		I'm happy to be back on the forum after I got over the death of my HDD with all of my data collected in 8 years. I'm also happy to see the Happy Thread, which opened just after I left, live and prosper!

Wait... What happened to the Rage Thread? No one is enraged on this forum anymore?

EDIT: That was another thread, my bad. The rage thread descended into quoting totheark repeatedly for the foreseeable future.

Actually I got it wrong twice, both of those things happened in the same thread. First the PG-13 stuff, then some higher tier mod who never posts here decided that they didn't like reading about it on their one visit to this forum and passive-aggressively ended the conversation, then the totheark quoting happened, at which point the thread had lost its way completely.

You assume because we don't post that we don't read/"visit" - wrong. Also there was nothing passive aggressive about it. I made my point, other mods agreed, topic ended.

 		Well, I do find this a little agresive and he has not mentioned you so darmam0o couldn't know it was you (I didn't know).
But who cares? This is the happy thread, not the "let's blame people thread" or the "let's start an old argue thread" so be happy everyone ^^

So I suggest to relax and try to think in cute and beautiful things, or horrifying and slender things, whatever makes you happy, and share your happiness with us *insert here rainbows, hearts and all sorts of paceful things*.
