If we're talking about things they told us pre-season, we do know Zuko has a daughter (the current Fire Lord) and grandson.

Do let me know your thoughts once you've watched the third or fourth episodes, because that's when we get the real fun stuff to discuss.

Well, I finished the first season as of today. Oh God, do I love this show - and I finally have something which can take the place of Young Justice! (Which I miss very much)

But, I loved it, loved it, I have some minor grumblings, very, very minor and I don't quite agree with you on all your points, but tommorow: witness my review of the entire series and my emotional blatherings Smile

Moving this here, as to get it out of the entry thread early

Okay. I usually stay out of crap like this, but this statement is just too much. Who are you to say which subset of fans should or shouldn't be catered to? And for that matter, who the hell are you to decide who the "dedicated" fans are? That attitude right there is is the reason so many people have a problem with you. I'm sure you'll just pop your collar and say you don't give a fuck about what other people think of you, but I still need to point out people who call you on something are not all "disgruntled fanboys", they're forum members that are sick of your unnecessary bad attitude about something you claim to like.

I wasn't going to comment on this, but here I go. I'm know I'm going to regret it.

Oh god, catering towards dedicated fans. That's one of the worst things I've ever heard. I bet you are one of those people who cancelled their pre-order for Skyrim once they heard it was released for consoles therefore making it a shit game. Which is absolutely outright wrong.

Every company/YouTube series/movie/tv series everything caters to people who don't follow it like a cult or maybe only watch it when they get around to it. In anything people don't remember things that happened however many episodes ago or if it's a movie and they watch it from the 2nd one they have to know what's going on and still enjoy it.

Usually to the people who know what's going on like it's their own life, sure an entry like this may seem unimportant or a waste of 5 minutes for the wait between the last entry. But like I posted in the 77 entry thread most of that time was probably making File as we know how much editing needs to be done for most TTA videos and time spent making the puzzles. They probably got that out of the way, left it for a couple of days then made this. It probably takes them a day to make an episode no matter how long it is, unless it's over multiple days/locations etc. There's also real life that gets in the way.

He's a troll. He is only a troll. It is all he will ever be. Just ignore him because the garbage that spews forth from his mouth isn't worth the 5 seconds it takes to skim over his post.

At this point, I think I'll be happy if we only wait a month.

As for that...other issue, I probably shouldn't have said anything -I usually don't- but that line about dedicated fans really got to me. I've seen arguments in other fandoms about "real fans" and it always jerks me the wrong way. This is the first time I've actually spoken up about though.

The real irony is I actually agree that this would've been better if they'd tacked it on to... whatever happens in the next entry. I just wouldn't call it filler. Jay going at Tim knife up, Tim taking him down like a boss, declaring Jay a threat to himself and others after tying him up and leaving him, and then apparently taking over the Youtube channel is hardly filler; it's definitely all stuff that moves the plot.

I'll do a more thorough cover up of Legend of Korra later, but right now, I'm worried about Bolin.

Really worried.

He's one of my favourite characters, but the problem is that he's just a bit deriative of Sokka and I wonder where that good heart of his is going to lead him. My guess? They'll be some conflict on some other nation which he decides to fight in, and he comes back a very changed man and will have a great deal of difficulty finding his place back on Team Avatar. Which I don't want to happen, of course, but it just feels inevitable.

I can't wait to see how Kasumi's spirtiual enlightment journey will go (they did seem to hint at it back in episode eight), but I think the series will take it's time to get there. The inevitable next scene between her and her Father will be painful, though.

While it's a shame that they didn't get more then one season, a part of me wishes that the series had just ended on Korra losing her powers and we'd pick up next year to see how she would dealt with and how she would regain her powers. Don't get me wrong, Aang showing up was THE most fan pleasing thing ever, but it did undercut, I can live with it, what I can't really live with however is that apparently all the other benders get that powers back as well? To me, it just undercut of what had unfolded and I really hope there's a time limit of when Benders can get back their power.

But, I laughed, I cried and I thought this was one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen Smile

From dictionary.com:

Quote:
[Fan:] an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc.:

If a person fits that criteria, and they exist in the physical plane, then they are a real fan.

People who claim to be "real fans" based on the fact that they're more critical of the thing they're following don't understand the concept. After months of banging my head against a metaphorical brick wall, I finally realized that it's best to just ignore that kind of talk.

I was using it as an example, it was the first one I could think of.

I enjoy it and we will leave it at that

That's an on-topic question which makes it off-topic........I think you broke the time/space continuum.

Huh. For some twisted reason, upon reading that, my immediate thought was, "Hey, that sounds fun!"

I enjoy watching characters suffer a little too much sometimes...

...Uh, who? I can't tell if that's a typo for Korra (tempted to assume because of the reference to a spiritual journey), or Asami (tempted to assume because of reference to her Father), or if I missed an entire episode introducing some character named Kasumi.

I assume you mean it's a shame they didn't -originally- get more than one season, as I believe I mentioned that the second season is currently airing and there are four seasons planned.

But yeah, I agree. I think had they known they'd get renewed from the start and hadn't had to cram in all their resolution in those twelve episodes, they should have done exactly what you said- Korra getting her bending back would have been acceptable, but I'd have liked to have seen some effort needed to get everyone else's bending back.

And as cool as Lin is with her bending, it could have been interesting if the show hadn't given anyone but Korra their bending back and we actually got to examine the really long-term consequences of losing that ability.

Anyway, eagerly awaiting discussing Amon and Tarrlok in particular.
