That was #67. And yes, that definitely wasn't the #76 tape, as we now know Tim was first given that in #62.

Thank you! ^.^

EDIT: (i hate being such a damn dumbass about this editing/internet shit bahaha

Just thought I'd post it. Best shot I could find from #62. If you look very closely, Tim has the tape in his pocket.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OOG: Trosephim are really careful with little details, no doubt about it

TheOperator: Apologies yet again for possibly double-posting, but doesn't this look like the tape?

So I've been pondering this. I think this was engineered by Hoody. Now, prior to the last couple of entries, if Hoody ad shown up to talk to Jay, Jay would probably be all 'WTF, dude? Why all the cryptic videos? Couldn't you have been, you know, ACTUALLY helpful?" But if Hoody has engineered this...well, Jay can no longer trust Tim, because Tim was lying to him and hiding things. Drugging him with who knows what. Harming Jessica. Stealing his camera and leaving him tied up with a murderous Alex and possible eldritch abomination running around. So now, Hoody shows up and "rescues" Jay, and BAM! new best friend to trust and listen to. And Tim looks like the manipulative one when it was Hoody all along.

'Kay, more thoughts.

Tim is sticking to his claim that he doesn't remember his actions as the Masked Man. I believe him; Hoody is obsessed with exposing Tim as a liar, but has never refuted this particular claim.

Speaking of lies, I have a theory about why Hoody was pissed at Tim in Entry #73. He wasn't mad about Tim having the tape; he was mad he didn't have it. See, Hoody gave Tim the tape to show Jay. He put it off, because reasons. Then they left town. When Hoody found that tape and realized Tim and Jay had left indefinitely, maybe permanently, and Tim didn't bring the tape with him, he took that to mean Tim intended to never show it to Jay. Thus, making him a liar.

After the rather startling reveal that Tim is now creating, editing, and uploading entries, someone put forth the idea that Tim has been posting entries all along, and all the events of Marble Hornets (including the "present" ones) take place in the past. I did this Rolling Eyes , but I've since noticed something. The text Jay puts in entries has little emotion; it's very dry. It reads like he's making a documentary, ironically enough. That's Jay's 'voice'. A written text from Tim should be very different, since his personality, speaking style, etc., are different. Plus, unlike Jay, he doesn't have any ingrained film school habits to creep into his narrative. But they aren't different. They read exactly the same. In fact, if he hadn't referred to Jay in third-person, I wouldn't have realized it wasn't a message from Jay. Also, in the description, it just has the entry number. Just like when Jay does it. It's probably nothing, but paranoia is part of being a Marble Hornets fan, right Wink?

I think it's telling that even after Jay tried to attack him with a knife, Tim was clearly trying not to hurt Jay. He easily could've beaten him unconscious, but he didn't even really manhandle him until Jay 1), didn't sit down when told to, and 2) lunged to grab his knife off the counter. That tells me that while Tim might not've handled things in the best way, he's probably not a bad guy. Not really.

Extraneous detail: when Tim tossed the knife on the counter, I saw Jay's flashlight laying there. It's not in the exact same spot, and it's resting on top of a folder, so maybe Tim was using it for something. Still, the idea that Jay's flashlight was still right where he left it 2 months before creeps me out for reasons I can't quite define.

This is a very plausible theory; I like it.

Double-post for the win!

I don't think there's been enough discussion on Jay demanding Tim to leave the camera. Remember when Set turned off the camera back in season 1, entry #9 I want to say, and Alex freaked out on him.

That's a good point. I was wondering what Jay thought he was going to do with his hands bound; he sure wasn't going to film anything.

I may or may not be hiding out in someone's closet, posting from my phone.

Sure does. As Zarggg pointed out though, in #77, Tim claims to have found the tape in his jacket pocket, not his jeans pocket. Meaning there are a few possibilities:

1. It's not a tape, it's something else. Could just be a boring ol' phone, I hope not.
2.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They slipped up OOG with where the tape was supposed to be, either in #62 or #77 (I doubt it)

3. This is a clue that Tim's lying even more. Like I saw suggested, perhaps it was actually Jay who had the tape placed on him and Tim took it off of him and pocketed it. Since it's a fabricated story, Tim ends up getting the detail of where exactly the tape was wrong.

People have made a lot of theories about different actors playing the hooded guy because of OOG circumstances and the creators have shot them, down repeatedly as incorrect assumptions.

The only substantive hint of this we got was when Troy stood in for the hooded guy when they were PREPARING for Entry #45 on an extra for the Season 2 DVD; Troy says repeatedly that the actual actor (Whose name is censored) will play him in the actual filming of it.

There's no evidence that the hooded guy was ever played by anyone other than the person he's supposed to be. That's all been rumors and stuff. As a matter of fact, when talking about filming Entry #45 itself once, Tim explicitly mentioned "The guy who plays Hoody" in the scenario.

So yeah everyone always says that and it's not true or likely, but since everyone always says it I don't blame you for thinking so.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hoody definitely was filled in for by other people. In #45, they're skinny and pretty short, in #58 they're tall and lanky and in #66 they're big and broad. It's obvious, that's why everyone says it.

Now as for this information you've presented, are you sure they say the actual actor will play Hoody for Entry #45? This would be pretty big if true. I'll still need to see it for myself at some point. But if it is true, then that might mean Hoody's true identity is somebody with a small frame.

That's changed a lot for me, I always thought you'd could work out who plays hoody from which of the 3 actors weren't in the video. This has almost confirmed it as Brian for me
