Charizard X is evolved through an item you can trade, so you don't need X to have it, just a friend who has it. And I agree he is pretty awesome.

Pocket Monsters Green. Now that was the shit.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In all seriousness, though, I like Gen1 for nostalgia and for a few legit reasons, but the recent generations have been pretty solid for me. Gen 1 will always be "my gen" though.

Happy because so many reasons to be this week, Entry 77 just one among them.

The most recent episode of Legend of Korra is quite possibly one of the greatest things I've ever seen. It's certainly the most emotional anything I've seen on television, as I'm filled with a million positive emotions that I can't even begin to describe.

They fixed every problem I had with the conclusion of the first series, and at the same time increased my respect for Legend of Korra itself even more, after that disappointing first season...

I just can't believe it...

Also, Pokemon Y.

I kinda doubt you played Pocket Monsters: Green, as it was a Japanese only release. Unless you had a Japanese friend or went to Japan when you were young and got it

It was a joke. I felt it would be obvious that Pocket Monsters Green could not possibly be my actual favorite version.

It was amazing, and had a very Spirited Away sorta feel to it. My one issue is that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
at this point Vaatu seems a little... one-dimensional compared to the many more complex villains the series has had in the past, and by the looks of things he's going to be back for more before the season's up. But time may fix that.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
One-dimensional or not, the fight scene between him and Wan is probably my favorite fight scene in the entire Avatar universe thus far. And honestly, the big bad of the original series didn't have all that many dimensions to him, and the final battle between him and Aang was still pretty god-damned amazing.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I do see what you're saying, though. Zuko and Azula had great character development, were pretty intimidating at times (mostly Azula), and had plenty of dimensional goodness. Noatok was my personal favorite villain in the universe thus far. He wanted to rid bending from the world because he looked at his father, and then at himself, and came to the conclusion that bending was the source of all evil in the world because of how he and his father turned out. I LOVE that; that's fucking BEAUTIFUL... And Tarrlok was a pretty awesome character as well. To end it all off with a murder/suicide was also PERFECT. Season 1 of Korra had a LOT of flaws, don't get me wrong, but the antagonists weren't part of these flaws IMO.

I thought you might of got it mixed up with Blue, as that is the english equivalent and that's what became LeafGreen, taking the Japanese Green (Our Blue) and remaking it for 3rd Gen. Which was done to keep the naming the same everywhere.

It does, but you probably didn't know about it in 1997. I know we didn't even have internet then.

Anyway, I hope I don't come across as harsh
